him as a very sweet Grandpa
who was kind to everyone.
For a man who was very
well-known and even had his
own bobblehead, he was the
most humble person I’ve ever
met.
Grandpa loved his family,
his community and basket-
ball.
One of my favorite memo-
ries with Grandpa was when
he put endless nightcrawlers
on my fishing pole at Indian
Lake when I was afraid to do
it myself, then he was stuck
untangling the lines countless
times.
He loved to sing to me,
“Annie Rooney is my sweet-
heart,” and complimented me
