Chemetall has specifically developed nickel-free manganese phosphate processes for

the automotive market and the general industry. The phosphate coatings generated
by Gardobond® G 4041, Gardobond® G 4066 and Gardobond® G 4098/10 fulfills
the specification DIN EN 12476, code Fe/Mnph g f.

With this environmentally sound process, significant process cost savings can be
achieved while at the same time reducing the carbon footprint and increasing the
workplace safety.
Nickel-free manganese phosphate technologies
Chemetall’s nickel-free manganese phosphate processes are applied in a dip line process at a temperature range between
80 and 95 °C. To reduce the pickling time during phosphating, the product Gardobond®-Additive H 7050 (5 g/l) can be
added.

Prior to the phosphating step a good activation process is essential. We recommend the use of our Gardolene® V 6560A
activation technologiy in combination with our nickel-free manganese phoshate process.
