Who We Are:
1.1. Company overview
Muhammad Faisal, Rehan Ul Haque, Amir Majeed, Ishraque Ansari, and Muhammad Ali a group of British and
Canadian Pakistanis started Al Nafi as a project that culminated from their experience and desire to create an
entity where access to best in class education, well-being facilities, renewable energy, and healthcare are free
for all. We started this business as a startup and have inspirations to take this internationally in the future. We
want to create a system based on our vision that the education in Pakistan MUST be at par with the West and
later we take charge in the World in education.

Pakistan needs to strive hard to make our country a powerhouse of emerging technologies’ professionals. Access
to education, renewable energy, and healthcare are the basic universal rights of all human beings, regardless of
their religion or creed, and Al Nafi wants this basic right to be free for all.

Al Nafi initially is a training institute where we are providing training to the students in world-class emerging
subjects as well as O&A Levels and GCSE/IGCSE subjects.

Al Nafi is an organization with a vision to bring world class education within the reach of every Pakistani. We
also provide career counselling and guidance to our young generation to help them select innovative and
revolutionary career paths for tomorrow’s world. At Al Nafi, we envision free quality education starting from
elementary school all the way to University within Pakistan. We want to catalyse an incubation hub in Pakistan
where research and start-up culture can be fostered for the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Data
Science, Blockchain, Cyber Security, and other cutting edge technologies. We want to enable local talent by
providing access to all the tools they need to be successful.

Al Nafi’s Mission is to train 124 million local Pakistanis and 10 million overseas Pakistanis within emerging
subjects in Cyber Security, Offensive Security, Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Machine Learning, Deep
Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, IT Audit, IT Governance, Autonomous Driving, Space
Exploration, BlockChain, Data Science and many others. We want Pakistanis to be able to avail the 133 Million
Jobs coming in 2022 globally as per the World Economic Forum Data.

We also prepare our young generation to appear in O&A Levels, GCSE/IGCSE Exams to compete with the
international curriculum being taught in world class universities.

Al Nafi’s founders hail from the West and individually have more than 20+ years of experience in their respective
fields. Al Nafi’s Mission is to train 124 million local Pakistanis and 10 million overseas Pakistanis and 500 Million
Citizens of OIC countries within emerging subjects in Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Artificial
Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Digital Forensics, IT Audit, IT Governance, Autonomous Driving, Space
Exploration, Blockchain, Data Science and many others.

After three years of planning and development of its content, Al Nafi is now acting as a training provider and
preparing the next generation of Pakistanis to secure the jobs of the future in the emerging technologies. We

Prices for the above services

• The membership fee for all Pakistani students Rs. 2500/- for one year. They can learn as many courses
as they can.
• Fee for O & A- Level will be Rs. 2400/- per month

3. Our Team
3.1. Muhammad Faisal – Lead Trainer / Founder
Muhammad Faisal, Founder, and CEO of AL Nafi has worked in UK, USA & Canada in the Federal and Private
space within Cyber Security, Offensive Security, Internet of things (IoT), Blockchain, Augmented Computing,
Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum Resistant Encryption. Over the past 18+ years, he has worked as CISO, CSO,
and CIO of major organizations. He is now working in establishing Al Nafi as the STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Math) house accessible to people around the world in the most affordable manner.

An Alumni of Stanford, MIT, London Metropolitan University and Royal Holloway University, he is a subject
matter expert in Cyber Security, Offensive Security, Digital Forensics, with a combination of Machine Learning,
Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.

He holds CISSP, CISM, CISA, CISMP, SSCP, ISSMP, and ISSAP to name a few.

3.2. Dr Asad Zaman – Trainer / Founder of Economics & Social Sciences Camp
Dr Asad Zaman is currently serving as an external advisor on the Monetary Policy Committee of the State Bank
of Pakistan, and on the Economic Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister. He received his BS Math from MIT
in 1974, MS Stat, and Ph.D. Econ from Stanford University in 1976 and 1978 respectively. He has taught at
Economics Departments of highly ranked international universities like Columbia, U. Penn., Cal. Tech. and Johns
Hopkins as well as Bilkent University, Ankara, and Lahore University of Management reference in graduate
econometrics courses, internationally. He has more than 100 publications, with more than 1000 citations, in
top-ranked journals like Annals of Statistics, Journal of Econometrics, Econometric Theory, Journal of Labor
Economics, etc. He has published widely in Islamic Economics and is a leading authority in the field.

Dr Asad Zaman will lead the Nafi Economics and Social Science Department, where he is actively engaged in the
creation of the content along with research and development work.

3.3. Dr Zeeshan Ul Hassan Usmani – Trainer / Founder of AI & DS Camp


Dr Usmani is a Fulbright Scholar and Eisenhower Fellow. He holds a Ph.D. and MS in Computer Science from the
Florida Institute of Technology. His Ph.D. work focuses on big data for counter-terrorism. His work has been
featured in the Wall Street Journal, CNN, AOL News, Wired Magazine, NPR, MIT’s Technology Review, Florida
Today, and The Economist. He has authored dozens of research papers, articles, and several books. His research
strengths include DataSciences, Artificial intelligence, blockchain, predictive analytics, and modelling human
emergent behaviours.

He has worked in the USA, Pakistan, Lithuania, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, Denmark and the Middle East.
Currently, he is focusing on blockchain applications, self-aware smart contracts, self-organized crypto assets and
consequential impact of AI on society and job markets
3.4. Dr Junaid Qadir – Trainer
Dr. Junaid Qadir is a Professor at the Information Technology University (ITU) of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. He
is the director of the IHSAN Lab and also serves as the Chairperson of the Electrical Engineering Department.
Before joining ITU in December 2015, he was associated with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science (SEECS) of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) for more than 7 years. He
completed his Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, in 2008, and Bachelors in
Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan. He has
published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles at various high-quality research venues including more than 50
impact-factor journal publications at top international research journals including IEEE Communication
Magazine, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communication (JSAC), IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials
(CST), and IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC). He was awarded the Higher Education Commission’s
(HEC) Best University Teacher Award—the highest national teaching award in Pakistan—for the year 2012-2013.
His research interests are in the areas of computer systems and networking; applied artificial intelligence (AI)
and machine learning (ML); healthcare informatics; engineering education; ethics for technology; AI ethics; and
using ICT for development (ICT4D). In 2020, his project proposal won an award from Facebook Research Ethics
in AI Initiative for the Asia Pacific. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM and has been appointed as an ACM
Distinguished Speaker (2020 to 2022).

3.5. Dr Tafseer Ahmed Khan – Trainer


Dr. Tafseer Ahmed has been working on Computational Linguistics for the last 20 years. He has worked on
theoretical study of grammar as well as on computer applications involving Pakistani languages specially Urdu.
He has worked on computational grammar, part of speech tagging, named entity recognition, text mining,
author identification, word embedding, smart keyboard and other NLP applications for Urdu and other Pakistani
languages.
Dr. Tafseer Ahmed got his PhD from Universitaet Konstanz, Germany in 2009. He has teaching and research
experience in various institutes including University of Karachi, FAST NUCES Lahore, University of Konstanz, DHA
Suffa University, and Mohammad Ali Jinnah University. His post doctoral work was on Computational Grammar
of Urdu at University of Konstanz. He has worked on Urdu Propbank for University of Colorado, Boulder. He was
co-PI of the DAAD, Germany funded project “Urdu Text to Speech: Understanding Intonation”.
Dr. Tafseer Ahmed was publication chair of 4th Conference of Language and Technology 2012, program chair of
5 th Conference of Language and Technology 2014 and convener of International Conference on Data Science
2019.

3.6. Dr Shahid Qureshi – Trainer / Member Advisory Board


Dr Shahid Qureshi is the Program Director in the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), IBA Karachi. Dr
Qureshi has a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from the Technical University - Berlin, an MBA from Lahore University
of Management Science - Pakistan, a Masters’ degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Asian
Institute of Technology - Bangkok, Thailand and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from UET Lahore. Dr Shahid
is a fellow of the Babson Business School and has obtained special training in entrepreneurship pedagogy,
research, and starting up new entrepreneurial centres. He has served as visiting faculty at the Berlin Institute of
Technology, the Frankfurt School of Finance – Germany, Kempton School of Business, and the SP Jain School of
Business - Dubai.

He is currently serving as a board member of IGNITE (National ICT R&D Fund, Government of Pakistan) and
Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Karachi. He is also part of the advisory committee for the Youth
Entrepreneurship program of Prime Minister of Pakistan. He has consulted at a national and international level
to help start-up entrepreneurial centres. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, technology-based firms, and
entrepreneurial universities. He has published in various outlets such as the Journal of Technology Transfer,
Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and International Journal of Business and Social Science, etc.
Dr Shahid designed the award-winning course for Women Entrepreneurship Program at CED which was
recognized by the USASBE (United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship) in Jan 2017.
3.7. Dr Saima Zeeshan – Trainer / Partner
Dr Saima Zeeshan was awarded the doctoral degree in 2012 in Urdu upon completion of her project for PhD,
"Movement of Islamic Literature in Urdu Language", from the University of Karachi. After completing this project
and recognition as a PhD, she has written and published her several articles on different aspects of Urdu
literature and socio-cultural topics relating to South Asia in classical and present era. Besides her scholarship in
the field of Urdu, she joined teaching of Urdu language and literature to national and international students in
University of Karachi, Jinnah University for Women; and in Qatar.

She has a vast and deep knowledge of South Asian history; cultural and colonial literature and has displayed it
by producing valuable and mature research articles and studies. An author of a number of articles published in
recognized journals, she has proved her ability to deal and analyse literary texts in their social contexts. Her
writings are vastly identified by her profound style and intellectual depth.

Previous to her PhD, she achieved First Class First Position in MA Linguistics (2003) and First Class First Position
in MA Urdu (2002) along with five Gold Medals by various academic and research institutions of Pakistan. As an
Urdu teacher and Urdu scholar, she is a gift from heaven to those students who strive to become confident,
responsible, reflective, innovative and well-engaged Urdu learners with friendly disposition.

3.8. Tariq Mehmood - Trainer / Partner


Tariq Mahmood achieved his MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi. IBA was
established as a business school in 1955 by Pakistan with the technical support from the Wharton School and
the University of Southern California. Later Tariq has taught BBA and MBA subjects as a visiting faculty at the
IBA and IT subjects at BCCI-FAST. He has also conducted training for the central bank and commercial bank
Auditors. He achieved many certifications and training such as CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CRISC, MBCI, CRMA, ISO
22301, ISO 27001-2, ISO 20000, and ISO 38500, and ISO 27017, and ISO 27018, etc. Tariq has been conducting
training on said certifications and other professional IT Courses since 1995. He has delivered more than 2000
hours of professional presentations on these topics.

Tariq has attended more than 200 seminars, conferences, and training programs on IT related topics from ISACA,
IIA, BCI, ICAP, IBA, ISC2, CSA, and many other institutions. Tariq has been CIO, CISO, Lead IT Auditor in Pakistan,
and the Middle East for 22 years. He was one of the Directors of the Board of ISACA Karachi chapter for many
years and a member of the IT Subcommittee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).

3.9. Sana Rasheed - Trainer / Partner


Sana Rasheed hails from Pakistan and is currently working at Accenture in Eastern Europe as Lead Data
Scientist. She is also pursuing her Ph.D. from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus in Blockchain. Her thesis is
Citizens-as-a-Service – Conducting National Census on a Permission less Blockchain. She is an outstanding
addition to our ever-growing team and will lead all course development, content creation, teaching and
delivery for Data Science Machine Learning, Deep Learning, AI, Blockchain, Autonomous Driving, and various
other Emerging science.

Our aim is to deliver all courses in the most basic way so that Muslims/Non-Muslims around the world in OIC
countries can learn and enhance their careers and work on modernizing the landscape of their countries within
their own local dialects. Now our mothers, sisters, and daughters have no reason not to study and progress in
life. Now our mothers, sisters, and daughters can follow the lead of Sana Rasheed and build their careers.
3.10. Ishraque Ansari – Founder / COO
Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Ishraque hails from the UK where he created successful start-ups in the
field of Operations Management, Research & Development. He has extensive experience in business
development and started Al Nafi with the core focus on running its Venture Capital Arm. He also served as
University of Cambridge, UK Assistant Examiner and brings a wealth of experience in the field of education on
the table.

At Al Nafi, his focus is on expanding our operations to the next level so that our goal of training 100 million
people in Pakistan will be accomplished. His past ventures include working in the field of robotics within the
R&D division of Innovative technology and Science Limited UK along with working at various blue-chip
companies.

3.11. Syed Wajahat Ali – Trainer / Partner


Wajahat educational background hails from University of Karachi, Iqra University, Harvard University, and
Loughborough University where he is currently pursuing his MSc in IT.

He is also studying UC SAN Diego and MIT where he is pursuing a professional certificate in Data Science,
MicroMasters in Data Science and MicroMasters in Stats and Data Science. Once he completes his work then he
will be pursuing his Ph.D. in the same area of specialization in Data Science as well.

3.12. Rehan Ul Haque – Trainer / Founder


Rehan, Founder, and Lecturer is a well-qualified industry professional. Before relocating to Pakistan, he worked
in various Senior Leadership positions within the UK. He has over fourteen years of experience in Information
Security, Risk Management, GRC, IT Audit, Business Process Transformation, Privacy, Operational Risk and
Regulatory Compliance services.

He gained most of his first hand international professional diverse working knowledge across industries
including Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, Professional Services, Oil & Gas and Rail Network. He holds CISA,
CISM, CRISC, CSX, CBCP, and CIPP to name a few.

He served UK Government and Agencies in implementing the National Cyber Security Strategy in the UK. He also
served as Academic Relations and Research Board of Director for an international professional body (ISACA). He
served the European Union in defining a single European digital identity community across the EU as one of the
founding working group members. He served Bedfordshire University as an external industry panel member.

3.13. Muhammad Ali Khan – Trainer / Founder


Founder and lecturer, Muhammad Ali is a senior executive with proven expertise and management skills in
Information Security at large and complex environments globally (UK, UAE, Qatar, and Pakistan). Ali holds CISM,
CISA, CGEIT, CHFI, CDCP, ECSA, and CEH to name a few.

He has worked for PwC, Deloitte, EY, Ministry of Interior and Protiviti, as well as served clients from various
industry vectors i.e. Banks, Telecom, Government, Energy, Healthcare, Airlines, Power, and Technology. The key
clients include Shell, Dolphin Energy, QAFAC, Toyota, Ministry of Interior, Hamad Medical Corp, Qatar Islamic
Bank, Etihad Airways, Emcredit, GCAA, Gulf Navigation Holdings, National Bank of Fujairah, Tasweeq, RSA
Insurance, DWP UK, Lloyds Bank, Al Jazeera, and Civil Aviation.
3.14. Amir Majeed – Trainer / Founder
Founder and Lecturer, Amir hails from the UK where he has worked for Govt of United Kingdom, Major Oil &
Gas Sectors, National Health Services, Banks, Financial Institutes, Payment Service Providers, Issuers, Processors,
Blue Chip Organizations and FTSE 50 firms. He has been tasked with managing and devising these organizations
IT Security Road-map, IT Governance Strategies, Security Strategies along with risk and compliance in line with
ISO 27001, PCI DSS, PA DSS, ISO 20000, GDPR and various other local and national, and financial industry
requirements.

His experience spans across EMEA region where he has been working with the Senior Management at the above
organizations in steering their ships and navigating the difficult seas of cybersecurity, risk, governance, and
compliance for more than a decade.

3.15. Muhammad Zeeshan Akhtar – Trainer / Partner


Muhammad Zeeshan Akhtar has great interest in teaching and in research related to Urdu, Islam and Science.
He achieved First Class First Position in MA Urdu form the University of Karachi. He began his teaching career
by getting into teaching at the University of Gujrat. He now has a vast teaching experience at both national
and international levels.

Has learned a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim who is one of the Imams of the
Holy Kaaba, Zeeshan participated in the 4th Annual Translation Conference in Qatar where his translation
work on Islam was well appreciated by Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar.

Besides his work on Islam and Urdu, his translation work in the recognized journals of Higher Education

3.16. Syed Sharjeel Hussain – Trainer


Mr Sharjeel has a wealth of practical experience in the oil industry from Data Engineer to Wellsite Geologist
both in Pakistan and Scotland in the UK.

He has worked in the mainstream sixth form college in London, UK in a multicultural environment over four
years. This precious experience enables to deliver the quality teaching in mathematics and sciences as well as
glancing into the fertile minds of the pupils. Mr Sharjeel has valuable experience in motivating the students,
creating fast track learning material, assessing the performance of students through tests, parents teaching
meetings and in creating the acronyms and abbreviations that help understand the new concepts. He aims to
foster and stimulate the students’ interest in study. Having delivered 1200+ teaching hours, he also works as
an assessor for AQA-UK and Cambridge Examination Board (CIE). Currently, Mr Sharjeel is working as a
freelance online teacher to Pakistan, Middle East and in the UK for Keystage 3 GCSE/ IGCSE and A levels.

3.17. Mansoor Ur Rehman – Trainer / Partner


Mansoor is an experienced, motivated and resourceful commerce teacher with more than 12 years of teaching
experience in various educational environment in Pakistan.

He is an alumni of London Metropolitan University, University of New Castle (UK) and University of Karachi.

He has worked in several managerial position in companies like Deloite Touche (Pakistan centre), Cambridge,
Metro Cash & Carry and Wilkinsons (UK).

His broad range of skills and industry experience with MBA (Finance, Marketing) will have a significant impact
on the success of students.

He is also an oracle certified professional.


3.18. Momna Saleem – Trainer
Dedicated Biological Researcher with Master Degree in Biomedical Science from National University of Science
& Technology (NUST) Islamabad, in which she extensively studied upon Cancerous Cells and their treatment
via Targeted Therapies and her major courses centered on Cancer Cytogenetic, Molecular Neuroscience,
Human Physiology, Anatomy, Biomechanics and Nano & Micro Drug Delivery Systems.

She done her Bachelor’s in Bioinformatics from IIUI Pakistan and, in it she did an immense research on
Mosquito Borne Viruses and their response in human body. Moreover, she completed the degree having
major subjects; Molecular & Micro Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Biotechnology.

She worked as Medical Coder in a US based organization and have solid knowledge of coding techniques as
well as the various significant guidelines of medical coding.

Besides her knowledge in the field, she also have strong communication, presentation and writing skills. Using
these skills, she can make complex concept easily understandable to anyone who is new in Biology. She has
strong analytical and reporting skills which she learned from her experience working in the field.

Her goal as a Lecturer is to develop interest for Biology in students so they can enjoy learning it, rather than
just taking it as a subject.

3.19. Kulsoom Yousuf – Trainer


Studied at a Madrissa in Karachi from 1987 for seven years and during these years studied Arabic language
Grammer, Ahadeeth Nabwe, Tafseer, Fiqh, Balagha, Adab, Usool ul Hadeeth, Usool ul Fiqah etc.

Studied further (Takhasus) in Fiqh for three years with Mufti Taqee Usmani sb and studied Usool Ul Iftah and
Imdad Ul Fatawa and other books for studies and wrote Fatawa to 50 questions with Hazrat Shaikh.

Studied Arabic, Fiqh, Hadeeth e.g. Qadoori, Mishkaat Al Masabeeh and Qatratun Nida etc. for 23 years at
Karachi Madrissa

During these years also participated with our Teachers in writing the book Lisan Ul Quran three volumes
In an Arab state I studied with Arab students and teachers and later taught there for several years. I learnt
from their Ilm and from their Sifaat (acquired qualities) and earned several certificates in excellent position.

3.20. Ibrahim Farooqui – Trainer

Ibrahim Farooqui is working as a Language Instructor teaching multiple proficiency examination preparation
classes such as IELTS, PTE, OET, and CAE.

There are very few CELTA certified people around the globe and Ibrahim is one of them.

Hi O and A level courses English and English Literature courses will start on 1st August 2020 in sha Allah and his
other courses will start on 1st September 2020 in sha Allah.

Ibrahim is currently pursuing his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Islamic Studies from International Open
University.
3.21. Afzal Hussain – Trainer

A highly motivated and enthusiastic Academician and accomplished Software Engineer with respectable
knowledge in Database Systems, Information System Audit, Project Management, Software Engineering,
Information Technology (IT) Management, and Information Technology (IT) Governance.

More than 12 years experience in Tertiary education in national and international universities / institutes and
4 years IT industry experience.

3.22. Muhammad Bilal – Managing Director


Bilal is the guy who gets things done with his can-do attitude. He ensures that AlNafi becomes a well-running oil
machine in a fluid manner. His job is to ensure that the business keeps on operating without any interruptions.
