EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
“Mojeesticks” was derived from two products which is Mojos and cheesesticks, with
these, we come up with a business where this two can be together with an amazing taste.
Mojeesticks is a start-up business that was built by Foodtastic group from grade 12-Innovation.
The business is a stall with interesting and attracting concept and design and it aims to promote
an innovative product or original product made by the students. One of the goals of this business
is to lessen the hunger of the students while they are inside of the school. Our group noticed that
most of the students are looking for the food that isn’t available on the school canteen. The
product design will be simply attracting which will represent the magical taste of our product.

Concept Description

Foodtastic is a company that aims to position itself in the market and also to be able to
compete with the top-tier companies in the industry. The company would then expand its
operations in the future through building physical shops and through franchising. The owners
developed its portfolio in a way that it would create a new trend in the industry or to instill itself
in the minds of its consumers; for being able to produce products at a lower price but with
superior features.
Opportunity

Foodtastic has innovated its product through encompassing its affordability and
convenience and as time goes by, different investors may be interested to invest on this
innovation and the company could use this opportunity to further improve the product. Basing
from the previous accounts of how some of our products are needed by the market, the company
could confidently say that focusing on the taste and affordability of the product would pique the
interest of its target market. Continuous growth may lead the company to the scenario wherein it
could have both a franchise and a big online shop and eventually leading to the starting of a
physical store.
Products/Features
Foodtastic innovates existing products in the market in a way that those products could be
more delicious and more convenient to eat. The main highlight of its product development is
customizing its parts to bring out affordability. Also, the products of the company have
extensive forms meaning each product does not solely depend on one purpose but rather it can
also be used for other purposes. In making the products the company makes use of the initial
investments made by the owners. In the development stage the company decided to think of an
existing product in the market and to improve its existing capabilities

2
Mission
Foodtastic aims to provide delicious, affordable, satisfying product to the students, create
the best product and most of all to make profit for the business to grow.

Vision

every student’s creativity. Foodtastic will deliver outstanding products that will be one of the
most distinguished creations in Taguig and fulfill each customers taste in terms of creativity and
we will provide new and innovative product that will reach expectations and standards of our
dear customers

Although the company’s main site of operation is on online platform, Modernitives is
also situated at Treston International College with the address of 32nd St. Corner University
Parkway District, Taguig, Metro Manila.
Company Objectives
1) The company aims to get a full scope on the profile of its target market through introspection;
being aware of the tendencies and behaviors of its customers since one of its goals is to produce

Organizational Plan

Management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing and

controlling an organization or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. It is a process of
designing and maintaining an internal environment in which people working together in groups
can perform effectively and efficiently towards the attainment of group goals. (Rodriguez and
Echanis, 2001).
After establishing the market and designing the technical aspect of the firm, the
management aspect must be properly planned and implemented. A feasible business is not
enough. The success of the business also depends on how the day to day operations are managed.
Through an effective management, the firm will be able to create a competitive advantage
against its competitors.

are still not sold and what part of the inventory is becoming obsolete.

Trends

Nowadays, youth has a very creative and innovative taste in the simplest things such as
snacks. Retailers are recognizing that their consumer needs are shifting and changing and that
they have to have a lot of choices to satisfy their shoppers and to make the shopping experience
unique and fun. Trends play a vital role in market specially the particularly affect the youth.

Target Market
Sophisticated flavor profiles featured in new snacks include cheese, barbeque, sour cream
and spicy barbeque. The company is ready to offer such delights to the youth and old alike,
aiming to serve children and teenagers from the ages of 5-19 years old but soon, with a little
more time so that the company will expand and cover even the adult ages.

Industry Structure
A normal size box with a logo of the Foodtastic group. Together with this image, the
business’ name “Mojeesticks” will also be included. As for the product design, our serving
plate/box contains the mojeesticks topped with the sauce/dip itself. The packaging of our product
will looks simple but fits to what our customer wants The company will most certainly buy and
produce its own ingredients since the company is still at the starting up stage wherein there is no
suppliers and dealers to manufacture the things that the company needs. The possible challenges
and risks that we will encounter are the other students as the company’s competitors and the

8
possibility to have a shortage of the stocks while running the business and the exact location or
place of the business.

Competitive Environment

Foodtastic offers product that is innovative. The company produces something creative
from product that is usually seen in market. The company presents mojeesticks a cheese covered
with mashed potato with additional flavors that added up to its taste this includes cheese, sour
cream barbecue and spicy barbecue and because of this the product is certainly unique and
appealing to companies target market. Surely competitors have made it much better for their
market strategies but Foodtastic made it much better for the price of its product, the product price
is cheaper that what the company competitors offered and there is much boundary from the price
of competitors compared to the company’s offered. Selling price is amounted by how much the
raw materials have been used and that is the reason why the companies selling price is much
lower than the other.
Competition

Since Foodtastic is new in the market there are still companies that will catch the
attention of customers and will become a possible competitor of business. Stated below is the list
of companies that produce products that is related with the products offered by the company.

Potato Corner is a fast food concept of Cinco Corporation, based in the Philippines.
Potato Corner outlets offer French fries with a wide range of different flavors. The chain has
outlets in the Philippines, Indonesia, the United States, Indonesia, Panama, Malaysia, Egypt,
Dubai, Oman, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Potato Giant, a food kiosk business established by Storm Carts Enterprise Inc. Potato
Giant serves the best and most innovative homemade potato snacks in town! They offer bite size,
ready to go munchies. Storm Carts Enterprise Inc. was owned and managed Mr. John Jeric
Cantillon, an alumnus of De La Salle University Manila with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Accountancy. He put up his first food kiosk (Potato Giant) in 2007 located along Fidel Reyes
Street, Manila. With a vision to build the largest food network to connect people from all walks
of life, Mr. Cantillon worked hard to grow the business by opening kiosks in different locations.

Fast food chains that offered products that are in line with potato such as Jollibee, Mc
donalds, KFC, Chowking, Shakeys and etc. Despite all these large companies, Foodtastic will
still do its best to make a better and effective marketing strategies that will surely increase its
company profit and market share thus the company ensure its product will offer high quality and
services. Also, the product will present much more creative ideas that will add to its taste.

9
Opportunity

The company believes that if it will successfully penetrate the market, several business
opportunities could come. Starting from a small business, the company could grow into a wide-
scale level. As time goes by this has innovated through its affordability and convenience. The
customer will buy this because of uniqueness of having two varieties in a product.

Basing from the previous accounts of how Mojos and cheese sticks are sold in the
market, the company could confidently say that creating Mojos and cheese sticks in one is an
innovative way of serving 2 in 1 product to consumers. Moreover, having flavored “mojeesticks”
will be also a great combination for the consumers.

The company believes that this innovation will give an edge to every customer to
purchase, it’s because of the product’s new to everyone and it has a unique combination. This
gives an opportunity to gain customer.

REFLECTION
This report has been prepared as a reflective work of my group mates and I about the
experiences in the entrepreneurship core subject. The purpose of this reflection sheet is to
redirect how I and my team mates worked while undertaking the project. The point of writing
this report is to include our thoughts and reactions to the experience. The reflective journal is a
personal record of our learning experiences. It has been written to reflect on our work which will
allow the readers to understand our achievement being a member of a team and our role as an
entrepreneur, reporter and presenter. We learned that it is very important to be extremely
organized with starting the business. In the beginning it started as a brainstorm. Brainstorming
requires a lot of special attention in specific topics. For example: the first thing is to know what
type of business we want. Here, we have to think about what can benefit us and also the
community. In this project we decided to have our business in our community in our school
specifically the Treston International College. This means that we have to do a business that
the community will approve of by making whatever we are going to do will be a hit or popular.
After our decision of the business we wanted then, we needed to think about why we wanted this
business and also how we are going to make money. We had to write down our vision for this
project; this meant how i wanted this business to look in the future. Then we write down our

12
vision and mission statement which includes a persuasive statement that involves our attitude
towards our business and helping the community. At the end of our business we will be
producing something creative from product that is usually seen in market. The company presents
mojeesticks a cheese covered with mashed potato with additional flavors that added up to its
taste this includes cheese, sour cream barbecue and spicy barbecue and because of this the
product is certainly unique and appealing to companies target market.. It will be affordable and
helpful to each individual that needs help changing their daily diet. Another important concept in
having a business is a budget; this means how much we are willing to spend for our product and
also for all the equipment needed to continue my plans. The reality of money is that at the end of
these plans, a contribution occurred between the members. A lot goes on in having a business
and it is very important to keep all records/documents of everything you do. These elements of
creating a business in the future will definitely help us in being a successful entrepreneur. In a
early age, we acquired skills that will make us get better and be a step ahead of others. These
skills can help us be the best out of a bunch of folks. In life there will always be competition and
the way of cheating this competition is by acquiring many skills that others will most likely not
have. That’s how we will always win in the competition of knowing what goes around and also
learning along the way. Now we know what we need to do to start the business and also keep it
moving forward.
