K-CorrTEC-12 (High temperature, high concentration)

Description
K-CorrTEC-12 HT corrosion inhibitor is a high concentration acid corrosion inhibitor, which can be
used in 5% to 28% HCl solutions, gelling acid, diverting acid, cross-linked acid and HCl+HF acid fluid
systems, and with low dosage ratio.
CorrTEC-12 is quinoline quaternary ammonium salt, acetylenic alcohols, 2-benzoylallyl blcohol, and
fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether based and the mixture in aqueous alcohol solvent system.
It has excellent performance even at bottomhole temperatures (BHTs) up to 428°F (220°C), and the
higher temperature the more stable it performs.

Application
CorrTEC-12 is a highly concentrated inhibitor and effective in concentrated acid fluid, gelling acid fluid,
diverting acid, cross-linked acid, HCl+HF fluid systmes. CorrTEC-12 performs excellent dispersibility in
water and acid fluids, resulting in good inhibitor distribution and protection.
Effective to temperatures in excess of 428 degF (220 degC).
CIF-2 organic acid based intensifier is recommended to enhance the protection when applied
temperature higher than 256degF(180degC).
* Intensifiers such as formic acid, formamide or potassium iodide is helpful for lower dosage ratio and high
temperature.

* The corrosion rates should be monitored at all times either directly or with corrosion coupons and treatments
should be adjusted according to their analysis. A good corrosion-control program includes a thorough make-up-
water analysis.

Packing and Storage

CorrTEC-12 is available in 25-L drums, 55-USgal drums, 200-L drums, or 1000-L IBC tank.

Keep away from heat, sparks and flames. Store away from incompatibles. Follow safe warehousing practices regarding
palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and/or stacking.
