Get to know the LBK System
The LBK System is the first radar system certified for SIL2 / PLd safety
applications. EC type examination certificate.
Safety Outputs
• dual channel safety output provided by forced guided safety relays for alarms and direct or indirect safety of
the machinery.
Auxiliary Outputs
• two auxiliary output relays, which can be configured via the Inxpect Safety Application, for:
• pre-alarm
• fault/diagnostic
• muting status
Digital inputs
• three dual channel digital inputs:
• Muting: temporary suspension of the safety function of one or more sensors. Up to three groups of sensors
are supported.
• Machinery emergency button.
• Machinery restart button.

The LBK-S01 sensors
• Detect motion in their coverage area.
• Signal motion and diagnostic information to the controller through
CAN bus.
• IP 67
Restart prevention
It prevents the machinery
from restarting while
operators are in the
dangerous area
Access detection
Prevents access to the
dangerous area

Functions and Sensitivity
Detection Function
When someone enters the alarm area the system places the machine in safety mode: it
de-energizes the safety relays.
A pre-alarm area can also be configured.
Sensitivity: is lower to filter out optical disturb
Field of view configurable: 110°/30° - 50°/15°
Restart Prevention
After motion is detected, further motion of only a few millimeters is sufficient to
prevent the machinery from restarting (e.g. a person breathing)
Sensitivity: it’s very hight to detect micro movement
Field of view: 110°/50°

The dangerous area must be calculated according to ISO 13885 and ISO 13857.
The two fundamental factors for its calculation are sensor height (H) and sensor tilt (I).

Muting
• temporary suspension of the safety function of one or
more sensors
• Up to three digital inputs can be used to enable it,
grouping sensors in up to three muting group
