Commitment to Excellence Social Sensitivity Honesty and Integrity
Flexibility and Adaptability Inclusiveness Knowledge and Generation –Driven

III. Exit Institutional Outcomes: Graduates of Cebu Normal University are Design Thinkers, Facilitators of Learning, Mission-Driven Workers and Protectors of Nature.

IV. Program Outcomes: Based on CHED Memo No. 53, s. 2007 on Policies and Standards for Graduate Programs in Education for Teachers and Other Education Professionals, the graduates of
Master of Arts in Education must have:
1. demonstrated in-depth understanding of the complex and coherent body of knowledge and skills in their field of specialization in education;
2. acquired the ability to apply knowledge and skills in the field to new situations in more creative and flexible ways, and to solve complex problems in ways that involve rigorous thinking
and independent work;

3. demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the methods of inquiry in their own research or advanced scholarship and how these methods are used to create and interpret
knowledge in the field of discipline;
4. critically evaluated current problems, principles, and concepts in the field of study through research and advanced scholarships;
5. applied current knowledge in their field of specialization by undertaking research, a complex project or some other forms of advanced scholarship;
6. demonstrated initiative, self-direction and originality in dealing with problems in the field of discipline particularly in the planning and execution of task (e.g., developed innovative
teacher approaches and resources, established new teacher supervisory systems and many more);
7. creatively and systematically dealt with complex issues in their field of specialization, make judgments or decisions in the absence of complete data and clearly communicate one’s
justification for such actions to specialist or non-specialist audiences; and
8. acquired lifelong learning skills for continuous advancement of knowledge and skills in the field of specialization.

V. Course Description: This course focuses basically on non-Euclidean Geometries that approximate realities best presented through transformations. Points and geometric objects are
described using both real and complex numbers as coordinates. It tackles not just concepts on, but applications as well, of the varied geometries such as hyperbolic geometry, spherical
geometry, projective geometry and spacetime geometry.
