Course Title: Educational Technology

I. Course Description:

A course which aims to introduce the students to the instructional development system with emphasis on the effective utilization of both
human and non-human resources. In the planning, organizations, implementation and evaluation of the teaching learning process. The course
moves from principle to practice in the preparation, utilization and evaluation of instructional media including computer.

II. Objectives:
Aims to help educators at all levels through the use of incorporate media and technologies for learning into their repertoire- to use them as
teaching tools and to guide students in using them as learning tools.
A. Demonstrate the use of instructional audio
B. Extend the ability to use the instructional television in the educational processes.
C. Build up a basic understanding of how to create a “PowerPoint” presentation to be used in an educational setting
D. Expand a basic understanding of how to use a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel) in the academic setting
E. Develop a basic understanding of how to access and search the Internet and how it could be used in an academic setting.

III. Course Requirements


Full attendance, Recitation, Demonstrations, Quiz, Assignments, Prelim, Midterm and Final Exam, Audio and Video Presentations, Internet
Exam, Laboratory Activities and Hands-On Exams

IV. INSTRUCTIONAL METHODOLOGIES


Educ4 is a computer driven course. The instructor will assign exercises and projects throughout the semester that will require the students to
use the latest computer software and hardware. The instructor will use demonstrations and lectures to enhance the students learning. The
instructor will also use cooperative learning strategies such as group discussion, group activities, and group presentations as part of the
semester activities. It also includes lecture, multimedia presentations, hands-on applications, collaborative learning, discussions, electronic
communications, internet, online learning, and Video conferencing.
1. The class will meet for three- hour’s periods each week.
2. Laboratory Activities- 20 hours for a full semester.
3. The lectures and labs should be conducted using state-of-the-art multimedia techniques including a computer projection system.

V. Course Requirements

To pass the course, the students are required to show, submit, present and/or pass the following:
