I am pleased to recommend Madeline Gunnell for a position at your hospital. I have known Madeline since August
2020. Madeline is a student in a community health class I am teaching at the College of Nursing. Based on my
observations of Madeline as a student and a team member, I believe Madeline will make an excellent candidate for a
position in your organization.

Madeline is intelligent and creative, which she has demonstrated by the quality of her written work and projects.
Madeline is enthusiastic, articulate, and dependable. While most of our face to face contact has been via Zoom, I have
observed these qualities during our interactions and in her completed assignments. Madeline exhibited exceptional
creativity with a capstone project, addressing isolation and depression among older adults in the community during the
pandemic. As her resume displays, Madeline has a high GPA and is an invited member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Honor
Society for Nursing. She has also been recently honored with Academic Distinction for her work at the University of
Arizona College of Nursing.

Madeline works effectively independently and with others. She displays strong interpersonal skills and emotional
intelligence during meetings with her classmates, community professionals and me. She is also resourceful; she asks for
help when needed and graciously accepts feedback.

In conclusion, I recommend without reservation, Madeline Gunnell for a position at your hospital. If her performance
at the University of Arizona College of Nursing is any indication of how she will perform as a registered nurse,
