The software provides the cable operator the ability to monitor a DOCSIS based high speed internet
cable modem system. Monitoring both CMTS and cable modems with SNMP management tools. The
system includes a database for subscriber information, modem information and QoS profiles. All
information is accessed via web pages.
Access to the web pages is password protected. The web pages are not encrypted or protected from
packet sniffing. The default port for accessing the application is 6666. The application should work
with any of the standard browsers, Firefox, Internet Explorer 6.0 and Netscape. Please ensure that you
have applied all of the latest security patches and updates.
Fire up your browser and enter the IP address or domain name of the web server that is hosting the
application. Make sure that you then enter the port number of 6666. See the examples below:
http://10.0.0.1:6666
http://mycontrol.us:6666
You should then be challenged with a password screen. The default user name is ‘ltcadmin’ and the
default password is ‘!laceytech’ .
At this point click on the LOGIN link in the middle of the display.
You will now be presented with the default screen of the application.

The left hand side of the screen will constantly present the basic navigation menu. The right hand side
of the screen is where all the requested information is displayed. Some screens of information will
require the use of scrolling techniques such as the “wheel”, arrow keys and sliders using the mouse.
All links require only a single click. Additionally, you can use the ‘ctrl-F’ to invoke the browsers
‘find’ command to search using snippets of MAC addresses and names among other items.
Cable Modems
Registration Status – Displays the status of all modems on the system by
upstream channel. The SNR of all upstream channels is also presented.
Non Responder List – Displays all the modems in the database that are not
listed by the CMTS. The time field shows the last time they were in contacted
by the system.
Reports
Online Modems - Shows all modems that are currently on the system. It
displays the modems IP Address, MAC Address, Downstream Receive Level,
Downstream SNR, Upstream Transmit Level, Subscriber Name, Location on
the cable plant, QoS assignment and Registration Status.
Subscriber List - Report listing the subscribers Name, QoS, Address, Phone,
Email and Notes
System Setup
QoS Profiles – Lists all the profiles that are offered for subscription. Display
Name, location of file and description are presented.
Configure SNMP - The system setup information. CMTS IP address,
community strings, modem community strings. This screen is normally used
for initial setup only.
CMTS Information
Interfaces – The status of CMTS logical interfaces are displayed
Upstream Status – The modem SID status and connection to the upstream is displayed
Graphs – MRTG graphs of online modems, CMTS traffic for Ethernet, downstream and upstream
channels, SNR for upstream channels.
Ethernet Stats – Ethernet statistical information from the CMTS for all logical interfaces.
Database BackUp
Downloads – Presents all of the daily database backup files for downloading.
Back Up Now – Perform an immediate backup of the database
