1.Why is extreme poverty falling?

----->We can define poverty as the condition where the basic needs of a family, like food,
shelter, clothing and education are not fulfilled. It can lead to other problems like poor literacy,
unemployment, malnutrition, etc. Extreme poverty in some places are falling because their
government has taken certain measures to eradicate this certain and occurring issues. Some of
them are creating employment opportunities and most importantly, controlling population which
plays a big role in developing countries like India.

THE GREAT DEPRESSION OF 1929

 The Great Depression was the worst economic downturn in the history of industrialized
world, lasting from the stock market crash of 1929 to 1939.
 It began after the stock market crash of October 1929, which sent Wall Street into a
panic and wiped out millions of investors.
 The stock market crash of October 1929 signaled the beginning of the Great
Depression. By 1933, unemployment was at 25 percent and more than 5,000 banks had
gone out of business.
 Franklin Roosevelt was elected president in November 1932. Inaugurated as president
in March 1933, Roosevelt’s New Deal offered a new approach to the Great Depression.
 Although President Herbert Hoover attempted to spark growth in the economy through
measures like the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, these measures did little to solve
the crisis.

2. Do you think that the Philippines was harmed as other countries transfer their
activities to us through outsourcing?
 No. In fact, the Philippines benefits from it. Based on my research, when a certain
company in other countries involves itself in an outsourcing, normally it brings harm
locally than any other countries outside. And given that the Philippines has outsourcing
companies, this means that the act of companies involving in outsourcing opens up
works for the Filipinos. Hence, the Philippines benefits to it.

3. In what ways do international organizations help our country’s economy?

 International organizations help our country economy by way of monetary support, giving
in any kind donations, persuading foreign companies to put up a business in the
Philippines, persuading tourist to visit our country. These moves can really help boost
our economy. Our country cannot stand alone without the help of other countries. It is
good to be friendly with the international organization, and maintain our policy rather
than secluding our country from them. International organizations is helping members to
set the international policy, agenda, mediating political bargaining, issues, and conflicts.
Providing a place for political initiatives and facilitate cooperation and coordination
among member nations.
4. Does the position of rich countries as giants in the economic chain
threaten the status of less developed countries in the global market?
 In a sense Yes, it does threaten the status of the less developed countries, for the title
itself of being a developed country is a high status compared to the very living or the
normal system and progression from other countries who were not yet or not developed.
 The rich countries typically from Europe acts as a threat in the global market against the
less developed countries for it has more hold of their income and has a more stable
mortality and birth rate which is the most problem around the less developed countries.
This affects their performance in the global market for having other situations to focus on
thus makes their position in the global market fragile and in need of much more
recognition and power unlike the European Countries. They can function independently
and only rely on their resources and can still hold the high spot in the global market. This
means that their services and products and much more expensive yet with high quality.
And if we compare that to the less developed countries we can only provide a limited
amount of product since there is also fees that needed to apprehend. But when it comes
to providing quality we can actually rival that of their high class products since some of
the things they can’t naturally gain in their climate are in the less developed countries.

5. What is the impact of global glows on the global South?

 Globalization has had a deep effect on cities all over the world, not the least in
South Africa where the isolation of the apartheid years has given way to a much
more open society and economy. Businesses, cities and regions that flourished
in the years of isolation are in decline.

6. Examine the gap between rural and urban areas across the globe. How is
the gap affected by the globalization?
 People in other countries who has a higher demand may use it to get all the
publicity and wants, they'll demand things that will make others poor. just like
chocolates, the seeds is from here but when we import it they'll make it chocolate
bars and when we're going to export it that will be the time where the chocolate
will be more expensive.

7. What do you think is the impact of urbanization and the rise of global city
on the agricultural sector?
 The process of urbanization resulted in substantial land conversion, which, in
turn, led to a drastic decrease in crop production areas and changed the
agricultural landscape of the Metropolitan Manila area. It also placed pressure on
urban fringes, making land use conversion inevitable in cities.
Though urbanization has a good impact too, such as, it can be a great source of
machinery or any other materials essential to farming, the negative impacts are
just too many.
Below are some of the impacts of urbanization on the agricultural sector.

 Farmlands was turned into urban lands.

 Farmers lost farms to tilt and can result in the loss of the source of
income.
 A possible food shortage if farmlands are continuously changed to
urban lands.
