2. PRESENTACION

More people around the world than ever before are studying and learning English because it has
become the international language of education and business. Our mission is to promote learning
and support education and professional development for the apprentices. We work hard to help
learners pursue their dreams of higher education or getting a good job in English-speaking
environments.

A reflection activity will be made; then, topics will be explained. Finally, knowledge will be checked
through a set of exercises (written and oral). At the end of this learning guide, students should
present a dialogue in which daily phrases and vocabulary about personal interests and technical
topics are expressed.

3. FORMULACION DE LAS ACTIVIDADES DE APRENDIZAJE

3.1 Actividades de reflexión inicial

3.1.1 As a reflection activity it will be analyzed the importance of English nowadays. That analysis
will be carried out through a small reading about a multinational enterprise. Apprentices will share
in groups of 3 their insights about it regarding type of business, personnel, facilities; etc.

Adidas is one of the world’s top sporting brands. It is based in Germany and
includes other brands like Reebok in its group. The three parallel bars that
form its logo is known worldwide. The company bought these “Three
Stripes” from a Finnish sports company in the 1950s. Adidas has provided
quality sporting goods for decades. They create a very strong brand loyalty
among consumers. Many people wear Adidas clothes and shoes as a
fashion statement. The company also manufactures other products such as
bags, glasses and watches. Adidas is heavily into sponsoring sports stars
and teams. It is involved in sponsorship deals with the top soccer, rugby
and cricket teams all over the world. Its current marketing slogan perhaps
sums up the company’s success - “Impossible is Nothing”.

3.1.2 As a final reflection activity, apprentices will brainstorm ideas for typical conversations when
working at the office.

3.2.2 After analyzing the vocabulary, apprentices will complete the following crossword by reading the
definitions of the words studied.
