-Getting the students introduced to the Sept. 1st – First Day of Softball & Walking Sept. 1- Chinook High School routines and School 10 Physical Education Program Sept. 7th – Labour Day -Students will have a basic Sept. 11 – Friday A understanding of softball and the rules as well as the skills required to play. -Students will learn that walking is a good option to get in physical activity daily for life. -The main objective of this unit is to get PE Daily Rubric Sept. 18th – Flex Friday Tennis & Kickball Sept. students familiar with the tennis 15-17 equipment and some of the more simple rules. -Students should be able to serve and rally a tennis ball ignoring typical rules of the game. This is due to the complexity of tennis. -Kickball is a fun game for students to partake in and practice their teamwork. -Students will be learning the rules and PE Daily Rubric Sept. 25 – Friday B Spikeball & Ultimate Sept. techniques of ultimate frisbee Frisbee 22-25 -Students will be learning a new game or working on their spikeball skills. -Students will have the chance to play PE Daily Rubric Sept. 30th – Orange Shirt Soccer & Bocce Ball Sept. soccer and practice improving their Day 29-Oct 6 skills. Oct. 2 – Flex Friday -Students will learn the game of bocce and they will even get the chance to Long Range Plan
create their own game of bocce.
-Students will learn the skills needed to PE Daily Rubric Oct. 12 – Thanksgiving Rugby & Belly Baseball Oct. 8- play Rippa Rugby (flag rugby) then they Oct. 13-16 – PL Oct 22 will get to participate in rugby games. Oct. 15 – Parent Teacher -Students will get to learn belly baseball Conferences -Learning the badminton skills and PE Daily Rubric Oct. 23 – Friday B Badminton & Nutrition Oct. 23- rules. Exit Slip Oct. 30 Flex Friday 29 -Students will partake in activities that Nutrition Quiz will build up to the round robin Nutrition Assignment tournament on the last day. -Students will be learning about nutrition and the reason why it’s so important to make healthy food choices -Students will learn about what PE Daily Rubric Nov. 5 – Friday A Tchokball & Healthy Nov. 2- components are a part of a healthy Healthy Relationship Relationships 10 relationship with different people Quiz (friends, family, partners) and talk about Healthy Relationship what they feel is important to them in a Assignment relationship. -Students will learn and play tchokball. -Students will be learning from the PE Daily Rubric Nov. 11 – Remembrance Volleyball & Conflict Nov. teacher but also each other using Conflict Resolution Day Resolution 12-19 stations. Each station will contain Assignment Nov. 13 – Flex Friday instructions on what to do at that specific station. If the students are not understanding the station, then the teacher will come help. This is important for student autonomy, and uses a different teaching style the students haven’t seen. -Students will be looking at ways to resolve any kind of conflict in their lives with scenarios in the class which will Long Range Plan

Assignment Nov. 27 – Flex Friday -Students will be learning about healthy sexuality in the classroom. Students will have an assignment and a quiz to complete to ensure their knowledge. -Students will be playing floor hockey. PE Daily Rubric Dec. 4 – Friday A Floor Hockey & Drugs Dec 1-8 They will work as a team, play a new Quiz on the effects and Alcohol game (for some). Drugs have -Students may be split up into competitive and non-competitive so that all students get a chance to play at their own level. -Students will be able to present why drugs are bad for them and why they should be avoided. -Students will be working on speedball PE Daily Rubric Dec. 11 – Flex Friday Speedball & Drugs and Dec 10- skills and be wrapping up the last unit Quiz on the effects Dec. 18 – Friday B Alcohol 18 before Christmas. This is meant to be a alcohol have Dec. 18 – Last Day fun unit to finish off the year. Drugs and Alcohol before Christmas Break -Students will be able to talk about the Assignment negative effects of alcohol.
