ISO 9001 in a nutshell

ISO is International Organization for Standardization it is based in Geneva and composed

of more than 100 member countries, each having a single vote.  The ISO’s objective is to create
common standards worldwide. Its Series Standards were released in 1987 and last revised in
2000.
The ISO 9001 standard describes the minimum requirements an organization needs to
have in place for a Quality Management System. One way to do this is to follow the ISO
standard and gain ISO 9001:2015 certification. The ISO 9001 certification is an international
quality control management system that is widely accepted as a benchmark for deliverance of
consistent quality for a company. The ISO family of quality management systems ensure that
your company is providing the customers with high quality goods that meets their needs and
expectations. There are a lot of third-party certification bodies available today, but the ISO
standard is still widely regarded as one of the most prestigious certification bodies in existence
and millions of organizations are certified by this body.
The international standard that is known as the ISO 9001:2015 gives a list of
requirements for a system that determines that a company can provide international-quality
products and services consistently.
ISO 9001:2015 is the newest edition published in 2015, it is an international quality
standard used worldwide that improves customer experience and satisfaction. Through the
implementation of the standard, ISO 9001:2015 aims to improve customer experience and
satisfaction. It also aims to improve the internal system of a company so that it can produce
quality services and products while promoting a culture that is aimed towards growth and
continuous improvement.
The ISO 9001 requirements are quite generic because they are implied to be able to
be connected to any organization, huge or little, in any industry. The most important thought of
ISO 9001 is the idea of nonstop advancement. That is why you will not find any specific
requirements of what “quality” is. Instead, companies are made to define their objectives
themselves and after that work to improve their processes to meet those goals.  However, a
certified QMS still needs to meet the requirements of other stakeholders. For example,
customer requirements and regulatory standards, to ensure that employees receive a training
course outlining the quality requirements, to determine and document the processes, their
interactions, and their results, to be able to produce records to prove that system requirements
have been met, to constantly monitor QMS performance, to address any risks that could result
from changes, to perform internal audits and correct any issues, and to continuously improve
the QMS.
In view of that, ISO 9001's purpose is to assess whether a QMS works admirably of
dealing with your cycles while additionally having the option to assist you with distinguishing
regions that need improvement. In simple terms, ISO 9001 helps organizations and associations
who were making a fantastic product most of the time, make an astounding product every
time.
