FINAL EXAMINATION
Course Requirements:

Final Grades will be made on the basis of the four (4) long examinations and a
comprehensive Final Exam. Exemptions from the latter will be given if a student meets both of
the following requirements:

(i) takes and passes each of the four long exams, i.e., obtains a score of at least 50,
equivalent to a grade of 3.0 and:
(ii) has an average of at least 70 points for the four long exams, equivalent to a grade of
2.50.

For those whose raw score average for the four exams is failing, the final exam will have a
weight of 50%. For those whose average is passing but are not exempted, the final exam will
have the weight of one exam.

Students are required to bring their ID’s during tests. No ID, no test. There will be no make-
up exams.

All tests will have a total raw score of 100 points. The scores in the 4 long tests will be
averaged. Perfect attendance will be rewarded with PLUS 5 points in the long test average
score. One missed class will merit PLUS 2 points in the long test average score.

**No grade of 4.0 will be given (you either pass or fail).

Teaching Fellows hold office in UPSE Room 219, Dr. Renato E. Reside, Jr. in the Public Affairs
office of UPSE. Consultation hours will be announced during discussion period.
