NOTE ON GARMENT
FIT: After trying on
your halter for the first
time, you may find you
desire a bit more
coverage between the
cups. This is easily
remedied by taking a
sewing needle and
matching thread, and
sewing up the bottom
2-3 inches between the
cups. Note: Pattern is written for
smallest size with changes for
Finished Size: larger sizes in parentheses. To
X-Small 0 (Small 2/4, avoid confusion, it may be
Medium 6/8, Large helpful to circle the numbers
10/12, X-Large 14/16). corresponding to your size
before beginning this project.
*See size chart at end of When only one number is
pattern given, it applies to all sizes.
Skill Level:
RIGHT CUP
Intermediate. Worked from bottom to top.
Row 7. Ch 3; turn. Dc in first dc, dec 1 dc in next 2 dc, (dc in next dc,
Gauge:
16 dc and 10 rows = 4". dec 1 dc in next 2 dc) 4 times, dc in ea dc across. 27 (31, 35, 39, 43) dc.
LEFT CUP
Worked from bottom to top.
Left Cup is worked in un-worked ch of beg ch from Right Cup. With WS facing, skip next 3 ch after
last dc worked in row 1 of Right Cup, and join yarn with sl st in the 4th ch. Ch 3; do not turn.
Row 3. Ch 3; turn. Dc in ea dc across. Rows 8-19 (8-21, 8-23, 8-25, 8-27). Rep
row 5. 3 dc.
Row 4. Ch 3; turn. 2 dc in first dc, *dc in
next dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * 3 (4, 5, Rows 20-38 (22-42, 24-46, 26-50, 27-54).
6, 7) times, dc in ea rem dc across. 37 (41, Ch 3; turn. Dc in ea dc across.
45, 49, 53) dc.
Finish off.
Row 5. Ch 3; turn. Dec 1 dc in first 2 dc, dc

LINING
To line the halter, lay halter flat on fabric to be used for lining. Pin the lining into place, easing the
fabric into the darts of each Cup as you go to avoid cutting too little fabric. Using each Cup as a
template, cut fabric around each Cup, leaving a ¼-inch seam allowance. Leaving the pins in place,
hand-sew lining to back of each Cup.
TASSEL BELT
Tassel Belt is worked along bottom edge of Right and Left Cups in unused loops of beg ch. With
WS facing, join yarn with sl st in first unused loop of beg ch. Ch 3; do not turn.
Row 1. Dc in next ch after ch of joining, ch *sc in next ch-6 sp, ch 3; rep from * across.
1, skip next ch, *dc in next 3 ch, ch 1, skip 10 (11, 12, 13, 14) ch-3 sp.
next ch; rep from * across to last ch, dc in
last ch. 40 (43, 46, 49, 52) dc. Row 4. Ch 3; turn. Dc in first ch-3 sp, ch 1,

Row 2. Ch 6; turn. Skip first 3 sc, sc in next Row 7. Ch 3; turn. Dc in first ch-1 sp, dc in
sc, (ch 6, skip next 3 sc, sc in next sc) 3 first sc, dc in next ch-1 sp, *ch 1, skip next
times. 4 ch-6 sp. dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next sc, dc in
next ch-1 sp; rep from * across. Dc in top of
Row 3. Ch 4; turn. Sc in first ch-6 sp, ch 1, t-ch. 13 dc.

Repeat steps 1-9 with each tassel, attaching one tassel to every other ch-6 sp of Tassel Belt, and
one tassel to the ch-6 sp in row 54 of each Tie.
EDGING
Sc evenly around all edges of Halter, leaving Tassel edges un-worked. Finish off. Weave in all
