Dear Learners,

I have great pleasure in presenting you a Free Training Programme on „ISO


9001:2008 QMS Awareness‟ for the benefit of young learners wishing to upgrade
their knowledge.

„Singhal Institute for Training and Education Trust‟ has been established to
disseminate and share knowledge for skills building through education, training,
research, publication and other activities for the welfare of the community at large
without discrimination of caste, creed etc. The benefits of the Trust are open to
all irrespective of caste, religion, race, sex etc. The Trust will not carry on any
activities with an intention of earning profit.

short-term training programmes for skills building.

Free Training Programme on „ISO 9001:2008 QMS Awareness‟ is a distance


learning training and will be imparted free to candidates, who seek admission to
the course before 28 February 2011.

Code TP001 – “ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Awareness”
Programme Objective – The programme will provide an opportunity to the
learner to know the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
and related concepts. Upon completing this training course, the participant
should be able to understand:
- Quality concept,
- Eight Quality Management Principles
- Requirements interpretation
- Effective implementation of ISO 9001:2008 QMS
- Importance of documentation, management review, internal audit and
continual improvement.

Course contents – Introduction about ISO, Quality concept, Quality


Management Principles, Step-by-step approach in implementation of ISO
9001:2008, General and documentation requirements, Management
responsibility requirements, Resource management requirements, Product
realization requirements, Measurement, analysis and improvement requirements,
Certification / registration process.

Admission and Learning Instructions

The candidate should send duly filled Form F001 by post and a copy may be
sent by email. When a candidate submits his/her application (see Form no. F001)
for admission to the programme, the candidate will be informed his/her
enrollment number. Upon receipt of enrollment number, the learner is required to
submit his/her „Pre-Training Synopsis‟ (as per details given in F002).

Pre-Training Synopsis submitted by the learner will be reviewed by the trainer.


Thereafter learning instructions (including learning material and assignments
details) will be advised to the learner. Learning instructions, material and
assignments for the training are specially designed by professional expert.
Learners will be advised learning instructions by email. It is expected that every
learner should also spend some time (at least 20 hours) on internet and visit
websites and web pages. Details of web pages and websites will be advised by
us.

Learners are required to submit home assignments (as per details given in F003)
given to them from time to time. Generally there will be five home assignments.

Upon completion of the home assignments , the learner will be required to submit
„Post-Training Synopsis‟ (as per details given in F004) and Feedback (as per
details given in F005).

Evaluation Marks

Evaluation marks are divided as under:

Pre-Training Synopsis – 10 Marks


Home Assignments – 60 Marks
Post-Training Assignments – 25 Marks
Feedback – 5 Marks

A learner is expected to earn at least 60 marks for successful completion of the


training.

Award on successful completion of the training

Upon successful completion of the training, the learner will be awarded with a
„Certificate of Successful Completion of the Training‟ (as per F006).

Pre-Training Synopsis

Upon receipt of enrollment number, the learner is required to submit his/her „Pre-
Training Synopsis‟ as early as possible. The Pre-Training Synopsis should cover
details of the learner and answers to the following questions:

Learners are required to submit word file by email or typed / handwritten


synopsis by post.

Home Assignment

Learners are required to submit home assignments given to them from time to
time. Home assignments submitted by the learner should mention enrollment
number, name, training topic, training code and traini ng mode at the top of the
home assignments. Learners may submit word file of home assignment by email
or typed / handwritten by post. Home assignments should be submitted within
prescribed time limit advised by the trainer.

Post-Training Synopsis

Upon completion of the home assignments, the learner will be required to submit
„Post-Training Synopsis‟ (preferably typed).

„Post-Training Synopsis‟ should be a report from the learner what he has learnt
during the training. It is expected from the learner that he should prepare a
detailed report of his learning.

„Post-Training Synopsis‟ should be prepared in three copies, out of which two


copies should be sent to the Trust – one for evaluation purpose and other for
Trust Library. One copy of the „Post-Training Synopsis‟ should be retained by the
trainee. Soft copy of the synopsis may also be sent to the Trust.

Along with „Post-Training Synopsis‟, the learner should also send „FEEDBACK‟.
The „FEEDBACK‟ should cover details of the learner and answers to the

Minimum Eligibility

There are no eligibility criteria for undergoing this „ISO 9001:2008 QMS
Awareness‟ training. However, it is expected that candidate should have good
communication skills in English and computer literate. He must be able to access
information from internet. The candidate should be employed and his application
should be forwarded by his/her employer.

including manager, deputy manager, officer – Bank of India). Worked in various
departments (Deposits, Advances, Operations, Foreign Exchange, Personnel
etc.).

Certificated Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). MM Grade Scale II


officer (January 1990 – 1996).

Handled Bank of India, Banskho Branch as Manager for two years.

Delivered lectures at the Bank of India Zonal Training Centre, Patna.

Participated in various ZCC / ZSC meetings.
