Target learners : First-year technical students

- Language level: Pre-Intermediate
Focus of the lesson : Integrated skills (with focus on grammar and speaking
skills)
Time : 45 minutes
Aims:
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to:
- Correctly analyze the uses and forms of Second Conditional after reading the
texts of a little girl‟s life.
- be able to use Second Contitional sentences in their speaking and writing
skills as demonstrated by correctly responding to different activities
provided by the teacher.
- practice their speaking skills effectively as demonstrated through
interacting and speaking with other students during the activities.
Teaching aids:
- Textbook
- Tape + Cassette
- Hand-outs
- Blackboard & chalks
Anticipated problem:
- Some Students may use their mother tongue when they can find the English
equivalents to express their ideas.
Strategies:
- The teacher can establish a rule of “no mother tongue” and go around class
to make sure no students break the rule and provide support when
necessary.
