Acid Matrix Job via Tubing

FRAC CALCULATIONS

DEFINITIONS
BHFP = Bottom Hole Frac Pressure
HH = Hydrostatic Head
PF1 = Friction Loss in 2-7/8" 6.5 #/ft tubing
PF2 = Friction Loss in 7" 23 #/ft casing
PFP = Perforation Friction Pressure
= [2.93 X (rate/perfs)^2 / (perf diam)^4] X spec gravity
ISDP = Instantaneous Shut Down Pressure
= BHFP - HH
STP = Surface Treating Pressure
= BHFP - HH + PF + PFP
HHP = Hydraulic Horsepower
= STP X Rate / 40.80

CALCULATIONS

BHFP = 0.45 psi/ft x 6000 ft = 2700 psi

HH = 0.465 psi/ft x 6000 ft = 2792 psi

PF1 = 6.1 psi/1000ft x 4650 ft = 28 psi

PF2 = 0.1 psi/1000ft x 425 ft = 0 psi

2.93 x ( 1.0 bpm / 75) ^2

PFP = [ ] x 1.07 = 0 psi
( 0.38 in) ^4

ISDP = 2700 psi - 2792 psi = -92 psi

STP = 2700 psi - 2792 psi + 28 psi + 0 psi + 0 psi = -64 psi

HHP = (-64 psi x 1.0 bpm) / 40.80 = -2 hhp

* Surface treating pressure (STP) estimated using a 0.45 psi/ft frac gradient. The
frac gradient should be verified by ISDP calculation during prepad or pad.

STP = Surface Treating Pressure
= BHFP - HH + PF + PFP
HHP = Hydraulic Horsepower
= STP X Rate / 40.80

CALCULATIONS

BHFP = 0.70 psi/ft x 5075 ft = 3553 psi

HH = 0.438 psi/ft x 5075 ft = 2222 psi

PF1 = 102.9 psi/1000ft x 4650 ft = 479 psi

PF2 = 1.0 psi/1000ft x 425 ft = 0 psi

2.93 x ( 5.0 bpm / 50) ^2

PFP = [ ] x 1.01 = 2 psi
( 0.38 in) ^4

ISDP = 3553 psi - 2222 psi = 1330 psi

STP = 3553 psi - 2222 psi + 479 psi + 0 psi + 2 psi = 1811 psi

HHP = ( 1811 psi x 5.0 bpm) / 40.80 = 222 hhp

* Surface treating pressure (STP) estimated using a 0.70 psi/ft frac gradient. The
frac gradient should be verified by ISDP calculation during prepad or pad.
