Installing eTimeTrack Desktop Application

Step 1 – Application setup

1.1 Install Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0

Install Microsoft DotNet Framework 2.0 available at http://esslindia.com/install/dotnetfx.exe

1.2 Install eTimeTrack Desktop setup

Browse the CD, Double click on “setup.exe” and follow default instructions.

Now to test, “Go to Start -> Programs -> eTimeTrack -> eTimeTrack Main.exe” the following login screen must appear.

Step 2 – Database Set up

2.1 Install MS XML 6.0

Install MS XML 6.0 available at http://esslindia.com/install/msxml6.msi

2.2 Install SQL Server 2005 Express

Install MS SQL Server Express 2005 -> http://esslindia.com/install/SQLEXPR32.EXE

2.3 Install SQL Server Management studio 2005 Express

Install SQL Server Management Studio from http://esslindia.com/install/SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi

2.4 Configure SQL Server eTimeTrack Database

Locate Database folder on setup CD and copy it to any Drive(c:\ or d:\ or e:\eTimeTrack_data)

Go to Programs -> Microsoft SQL server 2005-> SQL Server management studio Express. And login with Windows Authentication.

Go to SQL server, right click on databases and select “Attach” and Locate eTimeTrack.mdb in the “Database Folder” Copied in your
hard as mentioned in last step and press OK.

Step 3 – Configuring eTimeTrack
3.1 eTimeTrack Login & setup database settings

“Go to Start -> Programs -> eTimeTrack -> eTimeTrack Main.exe”, the following login screen must appear. Type Username as “essl”
and password as “essl” and press login. Click on database settings and type necessary details (Your local Server name, Database
name, User Name and Password) and re-login.

On successful login indicates that system is fully up and running.
