Lesson Reflection 2

This lesson was about teaching math and the learning outcomes are completing pattern with
objects. Counting 0-10 forwards and backwards. For these learning outcomes, I explain the
pattern for the students and give them many examples also, I model for them. For counting
forwards and backwards numbers 0 to 10 I sued song to engage them to count with the song

In the introduction, put on song that representing numbers in different ways count things up to
10, count up to 10 using their fingers. Ask the students to write the numbers from 1 to 10 on their
board and show me. Explain the pattern for them and what it means then show them how the
pattern looks like and make a simple pattern with them. In active engagement, making different
types of pattern after that I show them pictures of shapes and ask them what is this shape? In
formative assessment and closing, I will ask the students what did they learn today in the class?
What did they like most?
In the introduction, I put on song that representing numbers in different ways count things up to
10, count up to 10 using their fingers. Ask them how can we represent the numbers? Count the
fish to 10 with the students, count numbers using 10 frames with the students. Put on counting
stars. Asked the students to write the numbers 1-10. Asked students to show me the numbers by
using their fingers. Explained what pattern mean and show them different pattern. In the active
engagement, show the students how to make color pattern and asked them to complete it. Show
the students how to make shape pattern and asked them to complete it. Make an object pattern
with the students by using animal’s pictures. In formative assessment and closing, students said
what did they learn in the lesson.
The students were knowing how to count numbers. I used this prior understanding of students to
improve it by let them count the numbers backwards
I think the students was responded on the lesson and they war active and answering the questions
but some time when I ask them they take long time. I think because this is there first semester
that they take it online and they need time to know how to use the technology and some of the
students are sitting alone without their parents.
The lesson meets my teaching goals about count sets of things up to 10 forwards and backwards
and they can make a simple pattern.
I will prepare for the lesson more in future and make different activities to engage the students
and to attract their attention. I will try to let the students make hands on activity to learn more
about the topic. Engaging students in to the lesson are important to attract their attention and let
them want to learn new thing.
