eighths, thirds, and sixths;
b) represent fractional parts with models and with
symbols; and
c) compare the unit fractions for halves, fourths,
eighths, thirds, and sixths, with models.

Complete the sentence below:

In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to move,
sort, and match fractions and learn about fractions .
Pedagogy

Activity
 The lesson will begin by everyone facing the white board
so that the entire class may pay attention and be able to
participate in the lesson. I will then begin the lesson on
fractions, giving examples of some of their favorite things
to do the fractions.
 The class and I will do a worksheet with guided practice
together to make sure that they understand fractions.
 The class then will do an activity on the white board
sorting, matching, and moving fractions into the correct
spots. I will call on students one at a time to come up to
the white board to answer the questions or match the
fractions with pictures of the fractions.
 Students will continue matching and sorting fractions with
an additional worksheet to practice their knowledge. I will
be checking with the students that need additional help.
