The school reopened on 21st May 2020.

ONLINE CLASSES
Since the COVID -19 pandemic has been disrupted the normal
lifestyle of people across the globe - the virtual world has
come to the rescue. Among all this many institutions schools
have also shifted their base to virtual platforms to conduct
classes on the basis of online. Consequently, catering to the
needs of all stages of education from pre-primary to university
level, online education has emerged as an alternative to
ordinary face to face classes.

VKV Oyan has been conducted Online Classes since June 20th, 2020 to till date. Due to
Corona pandemic it was not possible to conduct classes as usual normally or we can say
formal class.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY


Our environment is one of the most important aspects to survive on this planet. Moreover, it
is the only thing that can make life sustainable. Without it we
cannot survive even for a single day. For
instance, our skin will burn, the lungs will
get ruptured and our blood pressure would
rise. Keeping all this in mind,

World Environment Day is being observe every year on 5th


June. People from more than 100 countries celebrate this day. Furthermore, the world
environment day is run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Since the
year 1973. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to spread awareness regarding the
environment. The awareness is about the conservation of our environment.

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Oyan has celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June
2020 with ecstasy and fervor. The theme for this year World Environment Day was “Time for
Nature” VKV Oyan celebrated the day with the motto of supporting one world, clean world
and green world. The celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the
basis of an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals , communities and
Government in preserving and enhancing the Environment .The Celebration of the day
includes - Organized drawing competition among the students of VKV Oyan to spread
awareness among the students, and also share some Environmental related articles topics
so that students can able to acquired knowledge about our environment the way to
conserve it.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY


The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following
its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and
spiritual practice which originated in India.

International yoga day was celebrated with full sprit and joy in Vivekandan
Kendra Vidyalaya Oyan. In the morning at 7:00 AM there was a yoga
session of 2 hour for teachers, as well as all the staff members of the
school. VKV Oyan performed Surya Namaskar, Various Asanas of yoga
formation showing the strength of yoga and the flexibility attained on doing
it.

Sri Rajib Prasad the principal delivered a thoughtful speech on the


importance of yoga and significance of Yoga day .In this year due to
Corona pandemic in absence of students
school organized yoga day, physical education
teacher of VKV Oyan Sri Nitul Dutta made up of
various video about Asanas of yoga and said
about its importance, these videos were shared among the students
so that students can easily performed the yoga along with their parents in their respective
homes.

WORKSHOP BY TEACHERS

In the staring of a formal session principal Shri Rajiv


Prasad sir distributed various informative topics to
teachers for presentation . Every day teachers took a
session on related assigned area made up a Power
points presentaions on the topics and deliverd it
through projector. It was a very informative and
knowledgeable session.

DONATIONS DRIVE

VKV Oyan family provides donations of amount


13,901(Thirteen thousands nine hundred one only)
rupees to PM Care donations drive in the COVID -19
Pandemic situations to help the needy people of our
country. It was a great initiative taken by VKV Oyan family
towards them.

VKV Oyan family also donated a sum of Rs 4000 and 50


Kg Rice to Oyan Sille Govt administration of Arunachal
Pradesh, to help the COVID -19 Warriors .

SWADHAYA

Swadhaya for teachers was conducted regularly. During swadhaya the various
books were being read like Sadhana of Service, Story of Vivekananda Rock
Memorial and Bharatiya Sanskriti. An elaborate discussion took among the
teacher group and everybody put forward their views in the context with the
topic.
Swadhaya and Workshop was also conducted on National
Education Policy 2020.An elaborate discussion took among
the teacher group and everybody put forward their views
and recommendations and suggestion in the context with the
Policy.

STORY TELLING
Story telling session by teachers was conducted. Teachers were explaining
various interesting story within this sessions, Stories from Indian Folk tales,
Biographies of Indian personalities, Ramayana, Mahabharata etc were
narrated.

GURU PURNIMA
Guru Purnima (Poornima) is a tradition dedicated to all the
spiritual and academic Gurus, who are evolved or enlightened
humans, ready to share their wisdom with very little or no
monetary expectation, based on Karma Yoga. It is celebrated
as a festival in India,

VKV Oyan celebrated Guru Purnima in an outstanding manner.


In the prayer hall there was speech presentation by Sri Bhisma
Arjel Sir explained the importance of Guru Purnima and its
essence in the life of a student. Sir beautifully explained the importance of Guru and the role
played by Guru in nourishing and nurturing a student life .There was singing of Guru Bhajan
by the teachers and Non -teaching staff and bhayas of the school. Along with guru purnima,
Local Donyi Polo Puja was also performed by Local preist of Oyan Donyi Polo Gangging. Sri
Jagat Narayan Singh was the overall in - charge of the program .

PALM OIL CULTIVATION


Oil palm crop is one of the highest oil (palm oil) yielding crops among the all perennial crops.
Oil palm tree produces edible palm-oil as well as palm kernel-oil. Palm
oil Gardening was started in the school approximately 2.5 hqt areas
with around 325 palm oil trees inside VKV Oyan campus. The teachers,
Non –teaching staff, students and the bhaiyas (Grade IV Staff) all
together did the work.
A great initiative -AGRICULTURE GARDEN
Agriculture garden has been started in the school Premises. The
barren land was cleared and made suitable for crops. The
teachers, non-teaching staff and bhaiyas( Grade IV Staff) all
together did the same . In this project various fruits and
vegetable like lemon , papaya, toppioca, are planted . In the
others side of land 6 kg mustard oil seeds and 50 kg potato seed
were planted. .

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION


Independence Day is one of the most auspious
days in the year for our country. Each year on
August 15, we celebrate the day with great
enthusiasm as we became a part of this
independent nation, means we were free to rule
ourselves and were not ruled by anyone else.

United, the people of the country struggled to free


from British rule for many years. We officially
became independent on 15 August, 1947, actually
this celebration merely marks the remembrance of
all martyrs who sacrifice their life for the sake of
its people as well.

The 74th Independence Day was celebrated with


great enthusiasm and sprit. The flag hosting was
done in school at 7.00 am by Sri Rajib Prasad,
Principal, VKV Oyan in presence of all teaching and Non-teaching staff of the school.
RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATED – VKV OYAN
Raksha Bandhan, also Raksha bandhan, or Rakhi, is a popular,
traditionally Hindu, annual rite, or ceremony, which is central to a
festival of the same name, celebrated in India.
Raksha bandhan was celebrated in VKV Oyan
on 3 August 2020. Rakshya bandhan literally
means “the bond of protection and care. On this
day sister tie a talisman or amulet called the
rakhi tie over the wrists of their brothers investing the brothers with a
share of responsibility of their potential care. In VKV Oyan the
celebration was marked first by the importance of the day by Sri Jagat
Nararyan Singh, Teacher of VKV Oyan. In this year absence of students
due to corona pandemic all the teaching and Non-teaching staff of VKV
oyan tied Rakhi to Tree planted and take care of that particular tree
.Sweets were distributed adding sweetness of the day. Sir Jagat
Nararyan Singh was the overall In-charges of the celebration.

KRISHNA JANAMASTAMI
Krishna Janmashtami is a prominent festival of our country. People
here celebrate this festival on the occasion of the birth of Lord
Krishna. It is celebrated in the month of August every year by the
Hindus all over the country. Krishna Janmashtami 2020 is
celebrated on 11th August 2020.Krishna Janamastami was
celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm in VKV Oyan on this day shanti mantro was chant
and bhajan was sung very beautifully by all the VKV Oyan family.

NATIONAL LIBRARIAN’S DAY


August 12th is being celebrated as National Librarian's Day in India, in remembrance of
national professor of library science, Dr S R Ranganathan (1892-1972), who had
spearheaded library development in India. VKV Oyan Celebrated national librarians day with
great joy and enthusiasm, though this year students are physically not present in the school
due to COVID - 19 pandemic, so VKV Oyan organized various online competition among the
students of the school, students also participated in the online competition and submitted
their final work through online. Various online completion were held like Essay competition
for the class of X -IX, Poem writing competition for the class of VII-VIII, Story writing
competition for the class of V-VI and Drawing completion for the class of I-IV
EKNATHJI PUNYA TITHI
Eknathji punya tithi - Birthday of Mananeeya Eknathji was observed on 22nd august 2020. Sri
Bishma Arjel of VKV Oyan add the beauty of the program by delivered
outstanding speech on the life and message of Mananeeya Eknathji
Ranade. Teachers offered flowers over the photo of Eknathji
Ranade. Sri Jagat Nararyan Singh Sir was overall in charge of the
programme.

GANESH CHARTUTHI – A BEGINNER OF ALL FESTIVAL


Ganesh Chaturthi 2020 observed on Saturday, 22 August, this year
.The festival of Gannesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayak
Chaturthi .It is one of the most
significant festival of Hindus dedicated
to lord Ganesha , son of Lord Shiva and
Goddess Parvati.

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in VKV Oyan on same date,


bhajan and Puja performed in the prayer hall. All teaching staff,
as well as Non-Teaching staff and Bhayas attained the same.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY


On August 29, which is celebrated as National Sports Day, India has had many sporting
champions in it's 74 years of independence and on August 29 celebrates National Sports
Day, on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand.

National Sports Day was celebrated in VKV Oyan with full of Joy and happiness, Organized
various sports events by Physical Education Teachers Sri Nitul Dutta of VKV Oyan .
TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION
Teachers' Day is a special day for the appreciation of teachers, and
may include celebrations to honor them for their special
contributions in a particular field area, or the community in general.
Teacher’s day in India is celebrated on 5th September every year to
commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Teachers Day has always been a very special day in VKV Oyan. The
celebration of teachers day in VKV Oyan included honoring of
teachers for their work and support, the whole day was enjoyable
and a memorable one for everybody.

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY CELEBRATION


To celebrate the programme we have circulated the invitation card through the Whats App to
all the staffs. Celebration started from 11.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.at the school block of class-Vl.
Around 50 people gathered to witness the event all are from our own campus.

The program started sharp 11.30 a.m. with lightning the lamp by principal, followed by
Mangalacharan. There were total four cultural program have been included – the importance
of the day was delivered by Bhusan sir in which sir mentioned two anecdote from life of
Swami Vivekananda, he also narrated about Swami Vivekananda’s childhood and his
contribution to the country, welcome song was presented by our vkv campus students
followed by Chicago addressed by Araghjeet Dey and also a patriotic song was presented by
our Sneh Vardini group and vote of thanks by J.N.Singh.
VISHWARKARMA PUJA CELEBRATION

The architect of the Gods or the divine architect, Lord


Vishwakarma is worshipped on the last day of Bhadra, also
known as Bhadra Sankranti or Kanya Sankranti. In 2020,
Vishwakarma Jayanti is being observed on 16 September.

Vishwarkarma puja was celebrated in VKV Oyan on 16th


September 2020. On that day puja was performed by our Sri
Bhisma Arjel and at end Prasad was distributed. Overall In charge of the puja was Bhisma
Arjel.

GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION


Gandhi Jayanti was observed in the school at 10 am on
2nd October, 2020. All the staff members were present
at the moment. Flower was offered on the feet of
Mahatma Gandhi.

FIT INDIA - FREEDOM RUN


Fit India Movement is conducting Fit India
Freedom Run from 15th August – 2nd October 2020 to
encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from
obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. The
concept behind this run is that “It can be run
anywhere, anytime!'Freedom Run' under Fit India
Movement was organized to mark the occasion in
which 55 persons including children and family
members of the staff participated
VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN (VVM)
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is an initiative of Vijnana Bharati
(VIBHA), in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous
organization under the Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India and National Council of
Educational Research and Training (NCERT), an institution
under the Ministry of Education (earlier known as Ministry of
Human Resources and Development). VVM is a national
program for popularizing science among school students of
standard VI to XI, conceptualised to identify the bright minds
with a scientific aptitude among the student.

VKV Oyan students also participated in VVM Programme. From VKV Oyan total
number of 81students were participated, among 81 nos. 10 from class VI, 15 from class VII,
17 from VIII, 24 from class IX and 15 from Class X.

SADHANA DIVAS OBSEVATION


Sadhana Divas Observed on 19 November - Ekanathji
Jayanti. Remembering the founder of Vivekananda
Kendra, studying his vision and rededicating ourselves
to the mission of Nation building. Celebration started
from 10:00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.at the school Prayer Hall.
The program started with lightning the lamp by
principal, followed by Mangalacharan. Welcome speech
delivered by principal sir of VKV Oyan and the
importance of the day was delivered by Bhisma Arjel Sir . Teachers and Students offered
flowers over the photo of Mananeeya Ekanathji Ranade and vote of thanks by Jagat Narayan
Singh sir.

NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK OBSERVATION

National Library Week Celebrated every year from November 14th -20th in India as declared
by ILA (Indian Library Association). Various programs were organized to let the students
know about the importance of libraries and its use.

VKV Oyan celebrated national library week, VKV Oyan and


organized Drawing Competition among the campus students of
the school, students participated in the competition and
submitted their final work. Librarian of the school delivered a
speech on the importance of library in the field of education and
told about how to search a book in the library and how to
develop reading habits and its importance in our day to day life .
CELEBRATION OF DIWALI

Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is the biggest festival


celebrated by Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists around the
world. Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over
darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance" .
Furthermore, it is, in some regions, a celebration of the day
Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya with his
wife Sita and his brother Lakshmana after defeating Ravana in Lanka and serving 14 years of
exile.It was celebrated too in VKV Oyan On same date, bhajan performed in the prayer hall.
All teaching staff, as well as Non-Teaching staff attained the same.
