This 就够了literally means” it’s enough.”

我有你就够了。
Wǒ yǒu nǐ jiù gò u le.
I have you. That’s enough.

我们不需要租很⼤的房⼦，有床、有桌⼦就够了。
Wǒmen bù xūyào zū hěn dà de fángzi,
yǒu chuáng yǒu zhuōzi jiù gò u le.
We don’t need to rent a very big place,
if it has a bed and a desk that's enough.

他现在不太饿，⼀块面包就够了。
Tā xiànzài bú tài è, yìwǎn tāng jiù gò u le.
He is not very hungry, and a piece of bread
will be just fine for him.

⼀点都/也不 + adj.

⼀点都/也不 means “not at all”.

It suggests strong negation.

他⼀点都不快乐。
Tā yìdiǎn dōu bú kuàilè.
He is not happy at all.

这个问题⼀点都不复杂，你再想想。
Zhè ge wèntíyìdiǎn dōu bú fùzá,
nǐ zài xiǎngxiǎng.
That question is not complicated at all,
just think about it a bit more.

那个演员演得⼀点也不好，为什么那么多⼈喜欢他？
Nà ge yǎnyuán yǎn de yìdiǎn yě bù hǎo,
wèishénme nàme duō rén xǐhuān tā?
That actor/actress does not perform well at all.
How come so many people like him/her?

只要...就...

只要means “as long as”. It’s a conjunction presenting a

condition before the consequence. It is introduced by 就.
As long as the condition is met, the consequence follows.

你只要把这些⼯作做完，就可以回家了。
Nǐ zhǐyào zuò wán zhèxiē gōngzuò, jiù kěyǐ huíjiā le.
You just have to finish these tasks,
then you can go home.

你只要多练习，就会进步得很快。
Nǐ zhǐyào duō liànxí, jiù huìjìnbù de hěn kuài.
You just have to practice more,
then you'll improve really fast.

他只要会说这⼗句英⽂就够了。
Tā zhǐyào huìshuō zhè shíjù Yīngwén jiù gò u le.
He just has to be able to say these ten
English sentences, that'll be enough.

This word tells us that a particular amount should be

met, or a given action should first be satisfied before
it will be okay to proceed to the next step.

你得先做完这个⼯作，才能拿薪⽔。
Nǐ děi xiān zuò wán zhè ge gōngzuò,
cái néng ná xīnshuǐ.
You have to finish this work first,
then you can get paid.

他每天练习，钢琴才弹得这么好。
Tā měi tiān liànxí, gāngqín cái tán de zhème hǎo.
He practices every day, that's why
he plays piano so well.

买两千块以上的东西，才可以刷卡。
Mǎi liǎng qiān kuài yǐshàng de dōngxī,
cái kěyǐ shuākǎ.
If you buy over 2,000 dollars worth of stuff,
then you can use a credit card.
