Re: Congratulations to all of you

Our group home has just won the Ontario Rights for Group Homes award. As you
may know, this award is given to the group home who goes above and beyond with
their supports and services, and who is acknowledged as being the best group home
in Ontario. This award was created in a time where supports weren’t readily
available to people, and when services weren’t the best. People with disabilities
were being treated horribly, and it astounds me to see how far we as a community,
and as a group home, have come.
Specifically, this award is given to the group home that best models caring and
advocacy for the residents it supports. It brings me great joy to say that the Robins
family nominated us as the best group home in Ontario.
Please join me on Friday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon in the living room. At this time,
Mrs. and Mrs. Robins will be presenting us with the award. Refreshments and
delicious food will be served. When you are supporting your respective residents
here at the group home, please tell them that we would like them to attend as well!
