Size:
Olaf measures around 40 cm.
Materials:
· yarn in white (100 g ~ 174 m),
· yarn in black for pupils and buttons (100 g ~ 174 m),
· yarn in orange for nose (100 g ~ 300 m),
· yarn in dark brown for arms (100 g ~ 300 m),
· yarn in dark brown for cowlick (100 g ~ 350 m),
· yarn in grey for mouth (100 g ~ 350 m),
· crochet hook in size: 1,5, 2, 2,5, 3,5, 4 mm, (UK: 6, B, B/C, E, G),
· scrap of white felt in size 2x3,5 cm,
· white thread and small needle,
· fiberfill,
· embroidery needle, scissors.
Abbreviations:
· sc – single crochet,
· hdc – half double crochet,
· dc – double crochet,
· ss – slip stitch,
· s – stitch/stitches
· ch – chain,
· rnd. –round.
Belly (part 1):
Use white yarn and 4 mm (US: G) hook.
Bind off and leave a very long yarn tail to sew. Stuff.
Belly (part 2):
Use white yarn and 4 mm (US: G) hook.
Legs:
Make twice with white yarn and 4 mm (US: G) hook.
Buttons:
Make 3 with black yarn and 3.5 mm (US: E) hook.
Thumb:
Make twice with dark brown yarn and 2 mm (US: B) hook.
Bind off.
Finger:
Make six with dark brown yarn and 2 mm (US: B) hook.
Don’t bind off last finger. Continue crocheting hand from last loop of third finger.
Right arm:
Use brown yarn and 2 mm (US: B) hook .
Start with last loop from 3rd finger. Join fingers like this:
crochet (3 sc from 1st finger), (3 sc from 2nd finger), (6 sc from 3rd finger) and on the other side of hand
repeat: (3 sc from 2nd finger), (3 sc from 1st finger)
After that you should have 18 sc around.
Head:
Use white yarn and 4 mm (US: G) hook.
20. rnd. (2 sc decrease sc, 2 sc) – repeat 4 times, 2 sc in sc, 39 sc, 2 sc in sc (55 sc),
21. rnd. (sc, 2 sc decrease sc) – repeat 4 times, 2 sc in sc, 41 sc, 2 sc in sc (53 sc),
22. rnd. (2 sc decrease sc) – repeat 4 times, 2 sc in sc, 44 sc (50 sc),
23. rnd. hdc, 2 sc decrease dc, hdc, 46 sc (49 o),
24. rnd. (20 sc, 2 sc decrease sc) – repeat 2 times, 5 sc (47 sc),
25. rnd. 7 sc, 2 sc decrease sc, (13 sc, 2 sc decrease sc) – repeat 2 times, 8 sc (44 sc),
26. rnd. sc in each of next sc (44 sc),

Lips:
Use white yarn and 3.5 mm (US: E) hook.
Mouth:
Use grey yarn and 2 mm (US: B) hook.
Eyes:
Use white yarn and 3.5 mm (US: E) hook.
ch4,
1. rnd. sc in second ch, sc, 3 sc in ch, sc, 2 sc in ch (8 sc),
2. rnd. 2 sc in sc, hdc, 2 sc in sc, sc, 2 sc in sc, hdc, 2 sc in sc, sc (12 s),
3. rnd. 2 sc in sc, 3 hdc, 2 sc in sc, sc, 2 sc in sc, 3 hdc, 2 sc in sc, sc.
COWLICK
First twig:
Use dark brown yarn and 1.5 mm hook.
Part a:
1. rnd. Magic ring, ch, 6 sc (6 sc),
2-4. rnd. sc in each of next sc (6 sc).
Bind off.
Part b:
1. rnd. Magic ring, ch, 6 sc (6 sc),
2-8. rnd. sc in each of next sc (6 sc),
Bold part of instructions in 19th round make with PART A only.
9. rnd. 2 sc, 2 sc decrease sc, 2 sc, 2 sc decrease sc, 2 sc, 2 sc decrease sc (9 sc),
10. rnd. (2 sc decrease sc, sc) – repeat 3 times (6 sc),
11-20. rnd. sc in each of next sc (6 sc).
Second twig:
Use dark brown yarn and 1.5 mm hook.
Third twig:
Use dark brown yarn and 1.5 mm hook.
Part a:
1. rnd. Magic ring, ch, 6 sc (6 sc),
2-8. rnd. sc in each of next sc (6 sc).
Bind off.
Part b:
1. rnd. Magic ring, ch, 6 sc (6 sc),
2-12. rnds. sc in each of next sc (6 sc),
Bold part of instructions in 13th round make with PART A only.
13. rnd. 2 sc, 2 sc decrease sc, 2 sc, 2 sc decrease sc, 2 sc, 2 sc decrease sc (9 sc),
14. rnd. (2 sc decrease sc, sc) – repeat 3 times (6 sc),
15-18. rnds. sc in each of next sc (6 sc).
Assembling:
1. Attach two parts of stomach (don’t cut a yarn).
2. Use a long yarn tail and wrap it around Olaf’s body, Just where you jointed belly’s part and then pull
tight.
3. Fasten off.
10. Embroider eye’s pupils using scrap of yarn in black and embroider brows using scrap of yarn in dark
brown.
11. Olaf’s teeth: with felt cut a shape as show at picture below (2x3.5 cm). To sew use white thread.
12. Attach the cowlick.
13. Sew the head to the body using the yarn tail left for the body.
