Pepsi Mission Statement

pg. 1
Mission Statement:
The statement which shows the purpose of an organization that why they are
existing?
Google Mission Statement:
“To make the world’s information universally accessible and useful”
The above mentioned statement which I have selected really fulfill the all that
aspects which a mission statement should have. As we know that the mission
statement of any organization or Company should be very clear, market oriented,
easy to understand and not too long narrow. The above Google’s mission
statement is best for all theses feature. Stepwise explanation is given below: -
1. Market Oriented:
As we know tat mission statement should be market oriented. Products and
technologies eventually become outdated, but basic market needs may last
forever. Because in today’s market the google’s mission statement is fulfilling
the needs of customers and after 50 years the need of customers will be same
as in present but only in case of getting information. So the google’s mission
statement is really market oriented which shows the reality which is needed by
customers. The mission statement fulfill all those aspects which a customer or
web users may need to know, as in the mission statement it is stated that “to
make the world’s information universally accessible and useful”. So it is clear
that all the customers need this thing. Because every one wants that a desired
thing should be available easily without any difficulty. So Google is doing it
very well.
2. Realistic:
The mission statement must be realistic and the mission statement of Google is
real there is no doubt which shows any impossibility of reality. As they have
made a promise of providing world’s information accessible and useful, so
they are really providing this facility to their users/customers.
3. Fit to Environment all overall strategy:
The mission statement should be fit to the current environment and also fit to
overall strategy (plan). The google’s mission statement is fit to every that
environment where customers/web users use the searching and surfing facility
of the Google. So at that time the mission statement of Google is fit from every
angle.
4. Not too narrow not too wide:
To main feature is that the mission statement should not be too narrow and not
too wide so the mission of Google is best for this feature. Because it is neither
narrow nor wide.
5. Simple & Easy to understand:
The mission statement of any organization must be simple and easy to
understand, because the complex or difficult mission statement confuses the
customers and they are confused. So the mission statement must be simple and
easy to understand and very simple, there is no any difficulty to understand
their mission statement.
