ABSTRACT

This project presents an experimental study where angle steel was used as
reinforcement in structure concrete members like Slab element. In this
project tests were done to compare the structural response of members made
with angle steel and conventional round bar as reinforcement. Angle
sectioned slab element is having smaller cross -sectional area and equality
yield strength. Then that of usual steel reinforcement bar and angle steel
section was used to prepare the structural specimens in this project. It was
found that the load carrying capacity of angle steel reinforced concrete slab
element were found cyclic loading test in the loading frame with the ultimate
load of 66.7 KN and 5.7 mm of deflection. And Normal steel reinforced
concrete slab that load carrying capacity of 77.7 KN and the deflection of
4.4 mm. In this thesis report which include of the combinations of load
carrying capacity and deflections of the angle steel reinforced concrete slab
and normal conventional reinforced concrete slab.

TRAINING DETAILS

FITTING THE BOXES

There are 14 columns ready for concrete filling, three mason came and they
started fitting the boxes (7boxes). Then they placing the boxes in the correctly using
the plumbob and they keep supports to hold them. They started mixing concrete with
m-sand and they pour into the boxes.
The concrete grade used here is M25 and the proportion is 1:1:2.

Fig 2.1 Fitting the boxes

The next day they started doing the same for the other 7 columns and this took
a day to complete and the next two days were for removing the boxes and curing
process with the jute bags.
BELT CONCRETE WORK

The mason then started to build the belt concrete, the field was slightly ups
and downs so they use the reference for the belt concrete was obtained from the
opposite veterinary hospital and they laid the concrete. They started to construct the
layer above the belt concrete.

REINFORCEMENT WORK
The bar bending workers came that day and they started to build the beam
above the level that they already completed. They keep the rods and they tie using
the binding wire this done in one day.

The rod using here is 16mm rod and the stirrups spacing is 7inches.
