Class Policy
All classes require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of sign-up. A refund will only be made if the class is cancelled or
dates/times have changed. All classes start at designated time.

Class supplies must be purchased from the store and before class begins!

Payment is required in advance to reserve your space in a class. Full payment must be received
one week prior to class start date. However, new students are accepted after that date, pending
class space availability.

If you cancel before the deadline date (one week prior to class), the fee is refundable or can be
transferred to another class. After the deadline date, the fee is not refundable or transferable.

Below you will find a selection of classes available at, Creatividades Latinas Brand Store along
with a course description and scheduled dates and times. However, if you do not find a date and
time that meets your schedule, please inquire about our Private Lessons! Unless otherwise
specified, classes are limited to persons 12 years of age or older.

Cake-Deco Class - Course I
Topics to be covered in this course are equipment needed basics of baking and preparing a cake
for decoration, basics of making icing, writing, simple borders, roses and other flowers, figure
piping, and more.
Cost of the course: $100 (includes 6 classes) Length of course: 9 hours
Class size: Minimum of 4 students. And $20 (includes starter kit)
Supplies needed:
No supplies needed for the first class.
Bring butter cream icing in container to the second and third classes.
May bring one color of icing, made in advance, to class.
No color mixing of icing will take place during class.
Cake needed for the third class.
We supply everything else, including a course guy.

Cake-Deco Class - Course II

Students will enhance the skills learned in Course I by learning fancier borders, more flowers,
coloring techniques, flood work and learning to add basket weave and lattice to their designs.

Cost of the course: $50 (includes starter kit)

Supplies needed:
Bring cake, iced smooth, to last class.
May bring one color of icing, made in advance, to each class.
No color mixing of icing will take place during class.
Bring royal icing in container to second class only if you plan to do flowers in royal.
We supply everything else, including a course guy.

Length of course: 4 hours

Cake-Deco Class - Course III

Design and Structure ( IDEAS)

This course combines learning how to support cakes of different sizes which are placed on top of
one another with some basic design elements. Also included are some very basic gum paste
techniques to include a bow, at least two flowers and some leaves.
Cost of the course: $65

Supplies needed:
Class 1:
FMM - Multi-Ribbon Cutter

Gum Paste - White and Green (for Green, take a piece about the size of a golf ball and color with
green paste color for leaves)
Class 2:
Buttercream Icing
Tip 3 and Tip 5 with coupler and bag
2 - 2-layer cakes of different sizes (already leveled, filled and iced)
Necessary boards, plates, pillars, etc. based on your design needs
Bow and any Flowers necessary for your cake design

Length of course: 7 hours

Basic Gum Paste

The beginning gum paste class will consist of learning the tools and equipment needed for this art
medium as well as learning to make the following: rose, rose leaves, ivy leaves, sweet peas,
stephanotis, Daphne and color flowers. You will also learn how to wire these together.
Cost of the course: $80

 Bow Workshop

Sugar Flowers in Bloom Class

Spring is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Flowers start their first bloom and
before you know it, we are surrounded by natural beauty. In this hands-on class, you will recreate
natural beauty out of the sweetest thing - sugar! Each student will handcraft some of James'
favorite sugar flowers: PEONIES, POPPIES and PARROT TULIPS. The fun doesn't stop there.
We will also decorate a cake. The cake décor will include lace appliqué artistry...a nice backdrop
for sugar flowers. Students will be placed on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited. You
must register and PAY for the class to ensure your placement.

Petit Fours & Cake Pops

Take these individual desserts to a new level! A completely hands on class! Cupcakes: Students
will use a few different icing mediums, and will learn creative techniques to dress their cupcakes.
Petit Fours: Students will learn to cut Petit Fours in different styles using a few different methods.
They will learn how to make Petit Four icing and how to coat the tiny cakes. Students will also
learn to embellish their Petit Fours with simple decorations on top.
Cost of the course: $20 No supplies needed for the first class

Supplies needed:
We supply everything needed for this class.
Each student will leave with finished individual desserts.
