Job Purpose:
The purpose of the job is to provide physical inventory material management services, comprising
quality inspection, preservation, stock accounting, issuing and SAP documentation of spare parts
required to maintain total reliability of production facilities.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Co-ordinate the receipt of all bought-in stock & direct charge materials consigned to warehouse
and the sub-stores to ensure that deliveries are in line with SPDC materials specifications.
• Responsible for managing quality of materials and spare parts in own store
• Manage stock accounting and reconciliation process to maintain stock accuracy at an acceptable
standard.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual warehouse budget and monitor to stay within approved
limit.
• Manage HSE in line with HSE business plan to ensure compliance and prevent LTI and and
sustain ISO14001
• Contribute to development of warehouse contract strategies and manage to ensure achievement
of contract objectives
• Manage materials certification and acceptance processes for bought in materials
• Manage material preservation & re-certification processes to ensure integrity on materials in
storage.
• Manage storage & internal handling of chemicals and hazardous materials in line with Group
standards.
• Create/ ensure safe and efficient storage, proper handling and timely despatch of materials to
meet the demand of SPDC business units and customers
• Ensure proper stock management through stock check, write on/off process, and proper
identification of moribund items.
• Other responsibilities necessary for efficient operation of the warehouse.
Key Challenges:
