First of all, on this beautiful occasion, I would like to thank the god who gave us some
mercies and blessings so we can attend and gather here any trouble and obstacle

Secondly, sholawat and salam always be upon to our prophet Muhammad SAW who has guided
us from the darkness to the brightness, from the stupidly to the cleverness, from the jahiliyyah
era into Islamiyah era, name Islam is our religion.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

My name is Atika Lestari from Al Amin Islamic boarding school. Well, in this beautiful
occasion, I would like to tell you my speech about " The Important of Moral in Social Life"

According to John Rawls in 2016, moral is the principle of right and wrong behavior.
Based on the statement, everybody has different morals. Moral helps us how to socialize, and
how we respect each other. Our morals will be good or bad based on the education and treatment
that we get from our childhood.

Moral influences many things in a person's life, especially teenagers today. Many
teenagers have bad morals because of social interactions and lack of attention from parents and
teachers at school. So they are trapped in the wrong association. As we know, moral is so
important because moral is the basic of the formation of IQ, EQ, and SQ that is needed in social
life.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Everyone has many different background of life. There is someone who has background of
underprevillage life and there is someone who has luxurious life bacground. Now, social media
is a primary needs in this life. It is widely used to upload their picture just for show off their
social life. For example, rich people upload their picture with luxurious style, it can make the
poor people want to immate their style. If the poor people don’t have the attitude, they will not
be able to controll their desire. And they will look for all means to get what they want.

Nowadays, many teenagers forget our culture. Indonesia's culture has diverse tribes but we still
respect each other. Our culture teaches obedience to God and the Prophet, politeness, rules, and
how to behave in social life. Many things influence moral teenagers. Globalization is the biggest
factor that influences teenagers' morals. With globalization, we are influenced by other countries.
Teenagers follow western culture through gadgets and social media. Many teenagers cannot
choose which one the good and the bad thing on social media.

One of the moral deviations at the beginning is teenagers who like to lie, cheat, smoke, and
drink alcohol. As we know, based on the data on WHO the teenagers in Indonesia get the first
rank for smokers in ASEAN, 63% of Indonesian teenagers do free sex. Then they use narcotics
and violate regulation and religion. This is so alarming.

Therefore, teenagers must get religious education as their foundation for the future. So they will
have good morals. Just like what Allah said in Qur'an Surah Ali-Imron verse 104

It means, "There has to be a nation among you summoning to the good, bidding what is right,
and forbidding what is wrong. It is they who are felicitous."

The conclusions, we must have the good attitude in social life. Because good moral is very
important in our environment. We as good teenagers must keep our morals. We must respect
each other to keep the unity of Indonesia and create peace and a secure atmosphere. So if
teenagers have good morals, we will have intellectual and spiritual development. So let's keep
praying, recite, and respect parents, teachers, and others and be tolerant in social life. In Qur'an,
there are many things taught about good morals and how we should behave towards others. Let
us as Indonesia next generation must have good morals be sure that there is a punishment of
Allah in the hereafter.
