In their email, they also claimed responsibility for the Delhi - 29/10, Varanasi - March, 2007, 7/11 - Mumbai local train blasts and Hyderabad Gokul chat and Lumbini Park of August, 2007. They claimed that they do not have any links with groups such as ISI, LeT, HUJI and that they are purely of Indian origin. The group cited Babri Masjid demolition (1992) and Gujarat riots (2002) as the major reason for their adopting the violent path. At this stage, it was thought that terror outfits across the border had masterminded these blasts through their operatives and the email was sent only to mislead the law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Similar manifestos were released by Indian Mujahideen (IM) immediately before or after subsequent bomb blasts. Immediately after the serial blasts in Jaipur, on 13 May, 2008, a better drafted email was released in the name of the IM owning responsibility for the blasts. The email again harped on Babri Masjid demolition and Gujarat riots. It also talked of the Indain Mujahideen as an organization with three separate wings. Credence was given to this email because this mail had photo clips showing the number on the bicycle with the IED which was parked at Kotwali P.S. of Jaipur. Over a period of time, IM could perfect the making of IEDs using locally available materials. The IED consisted of convex shaped Wooden frame closed with a fiber sheet on either side, intended to be used as a directional charge. High Explosive namely Emulsified Ammonium Nitrate weighing around 2 K.G.s was kept in the said container. Two holes were made into the wooden frame through which the two electric detonators were inserted. The detonators so inserted were connected to the delay mechanism i.e., the alarm clock, 9 volts power supply and alarm liver in parallel. Cycle ball bearings/nails were fixed to an adhesive tape which used to be placed on the convex side of the container. The entire assembly was then kept in a bag and placed on some vehicle or at a height to give maximum impact. The timers used in the serial blasts since the Pre-Diwali serial blasts at Delhi ( 29 october 2005 ) are exactly similar. The shape of the container of the bomb kept on varying. The now famous boat shaped structure was first tried at Hyderabad Twin Blasts and was later on used at Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat and Delhi serial Blasts.
