INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING AND RETURNING OFFICIAL ABSENTEE
BALLOTS IN PRIMARIES AND ELECTIONS

The accompanying ballot is provided to you electronically in response to a request made by you or a
member of your family. You will not be mailed a ballot unless you contact your appropriate county
election official to cancel your current request for electronic ballot delivery.

YOU MUST FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR VOTE TO COUNT:

1.
A. Use a black or blue pen to mark your ballot. Be sure the ink is dry before folding the ballot
and placing it in the envelope.

B. Completely fill in the oval next to the name of the candidate for whom you wish to vote and
the response you wish to give to a question (if applicable).

C. To vote for a person whose name does not appear on the ballot for a general election or a
special election, follow the directions on the ballot for casting a write-in vote. Write-in votes
are not allowed in primary elections.

2. If you inadvertently make an error, spoil, or otherwise deface the ballot, IMMEDIATELY
contact your local county board of registrars or the municipal absentee ballot clerk, whichever is
applicable, to receive a replacement ballot. Note: No replacement absentee ballot can be
mailed by the board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk’s office on the day prior to a
primary or election.
3. After voting your ballot, enclose and securely seal the ballot into a plain envelope and seal.

4. Complete the oath accompanying these instructions. Place the completed oath and the sealed
envelope into a larger envelope and seal. Write the words “Official Absentee Ballot” on the
outer envelope. Failure to complete and sign the oath will cause your ballot to be rejected.

5. Return the ballot to your local county board of registrars or the municipal absentee ballot clerk,
whichever is applicable. Be sure to use sufficient postage if mailing. All ballots postmarked by
the date of the primary, election, or runoff will be counted if received within three days of the
primary, election, or runoff election.

6. The ballot will not be accepted if it is returned by facsimile or email.

NOTE: Mailing or delivery may be made by the elector's mother, father, grandparent, aunt,
uncle, brother, sister, spouse, son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-
law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, or an individual residing in the
household of such elector.

O.C.G.A. § 21-2-385(b): A physically disabled or illiterate elector may receive assistance in

preparing his or her ballot from any person of the elector's choice other than such elector's
employer or the agent of such employer or an officer or agent of such elector's union; provided,
however, that no person whose name appears on the ballot as a candidate at a particular primary,
election, or runoff nor the mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, spouse, son,
daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law,
brother-in-law, or sister-in-law of such candidate shall offer assistance during such primary,
election, or runoff under the provisions of this Code section to any elector who is not related to
such candidate. For the purposes of this subsection, the term "related to such candidate" shall
mean such candidate's mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, spouse, son,
daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law,
brother-in-law, or sister-in-law. The person rendering assistance to the elector in preparing the
ballot shall sign the oath printed on the same envelope as the oath to be signed by the elector.
Any person who willfully violates this subsection shall be guilty of a felony and, upon conviction
thereof, shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than one nor more than ten years or to
pay a fine not to exceed $100,000.00, or both, for each such violation.

Georgia; that I possess the qualifications of an elector required by the laws of the State of
Georgia; that I am entitled to vote in the precinct containing my residence in the primary or
election in which this ballot is to be cast; that I am eligible to vote by absentee ballot; that I have
not marked or mailed any other absentee ballot, nor will I mark or mail another absentee ballot
for voting in such primary or election; nor shall I vote therein in person; and that I have read and
understand the instructions accompanying this ballot; and that I have carefully complied with
such instructions in completing this ballot. I understand that the offer or acceptance of money or
any other object of value to vote for any particular candidate, list of candidates, issue, or list of
issues included in this election constitutes an act of voter fraud and is a felony under Georgia
law.

limitado entre una elección y una posible segunda vuelta, también puede descargar, completar y enviar una
boleta de segunda vuelta por escrito en todo el estado (SWAB) que está disponible en

INSTRUCCIONES PARA PREPARAR Y ENVIAR BOLETA OFICIAL DE VOTO
AUSENTE EN LAS PRIMARIAS Y LAS ELECCIONES

Se le envía la boleta adjunta electrónicamente en respuesta a una solicitud hecha por usted o un miembro de su
familia. No se le enviará una boleta por correo a menos que se ponga en contacto con el oficial de elecciones
correspondiente del condado para cancelar su solicitud actual de envió electrónico de boletas.

2. Si durante la votación usted comete un error, estropea o de otra manera anula la boleta, póngase en contacto
INMEDIATAMENTE con la Junta de Registradores de su condado o con el secretario municipal de Boleta de
Voto Ausente, lo que corresponda, para recibir una boleta de reemplazo. Nota: Ninguna Boleta de Voto
Ausente de reemplazo puede ser enviada por correo por la junta de registradores o la oficina del
secretario de boleta de voto ausente el día anterior a una primaria o una elección.

3. Después de votar, adjunte, cierre y selle de forma segura la boleta dentro de un sobre simple.

4. Complete el juramento que acompaña estas instrucciones. Coloque el juramento completado y el sobre sellado

5. Envié su boleta a la Junta de Registradores local de su condado o al secretario municipal de boleta de voto

Código Oficial de Georgia Anotado (O.C.G.A.) § 21-2-385(b): Un elector físicamente discapacitado o

empleador de ese elector o el agente de dicho empleador, o un funcionario o agente sindical de dicho elector;
siempre y cuando, sin embargo, ninguna persona cuyo nombre figure en la boleta como candidato en una

la suegra, el suegro, el cuñado o la cuñada de dicho candidato ofrezca asistencia durante la primaria, la
elección o la segunda vuelta, en virtud de las disposiciones de este artículo del Código, a cualquier elector
que no esté relacionado con ese candidato. A los efectos de esta subsección, se entenderá por «relacionado
con ese candidato» a la madre, el padre, la abuela, el abuelo, la tía, el tío, la hermana, el hermano, el cónyuge,
el hijo, la hija, la sobrina, el sobrino, la nieta, el nieto, el yerno, la nuera, la suegra, el suegro, el cuñado o la
cuñada de dicho candidato. La persona que preste asistencia al elector en la preparación de la boleta firmará
el juramento impreso en el mismo sobre que el juramento que deberá firmar el elector. Toda persona que
viole intencionalmente esta subsección será culpable de un delito grave y, tras su condena, será condenado
(a) una pena de prisión no inferior a un año ni superior a diez años, o a pagar una multa no superior a USD
100 000.00, o ambos, por cada violación.

lista de candidatos, tema o lista de temas incluidos en esta elección constituye un acto de fraude electoral y es
un delito grave conforme a la ley de Georgia.
