Why do tech giants in the US offer a large range of perks (=advantages)? Google’s success and its employees’ happiness go hand in hand (=they are closely related). In fact, Google has a unique job whose only role is to keep employees happy and maintain productivity. Google invests so much money on its employees firstly because when your employees are happy they produce more, and also because you get to attract and keep the best talented collaborators. Although this new management culture might be a trend (=tendance) for the future for other companies, having perks at work is not the only way to enjoy work. Indeed, when your passionate about your job, you don’t need any perks to enjoy it (although they’re a plus, that everybody appreciates).
