Listening ans Speaking II

Didactic Guide

Introduction

Dear students,
Welcome to Listening and Speaking II subject in the Pedagogy of the National
and Foreign Languages Degree. Due to the Global sanitary emergency, this subject
will be followed online until the country conditions improve.
In this subject you will develop their communication skills at A2.2 level in
English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(CEFR). The activities proposed throughout are aimed to enhance your ability to
understand high-frequency phrases and vocabulary related to areas of immediate
personal relevance (basic personal and family information, shopping, local
geography, employment) as well as identify the main idea of short and clear
messages and announcements. Regarding oral interaction, you will develop your
ability to participate in simple and routine exchanges on familiar or immediate topics
and activities using a series of phrases and sentences to describe the lifestyle,
educational trajectory, current occupation or projection of oneself, your family, and
other people.
The subject deals with practical aspects related to the process of developing the
skills and subskills necessary to listen and speak in English. This subject considers the
development of active listening and oral production and interaction as a fundamental
aspect for the exercise and transformation of the teaching of English as a foreign
language since knowing how to communicate and understand the language will allow
you to carry out your profession properly.
The relationship of the subject with the field of communication and language
training is decisive because it works in a concentrated way on communicative
competence. The subject is related to the problem nucleus: What subjects and
family and community contexts? and to the integrating axis Family-community
contexts and learning of educational subjects (diagnostic approach of tensions
presented by the learning of specific groups of students, related to socialization
contexts in their family and community dimensions) through the selection and
production of material auditory and audiovisual that addresses these educational
aspects.

Best wishes in this new challenge!
