Before we start …

Explain the following by presenting an example:

● Observation – based assessment tool

 One of the examples of observation – based assessment is that students will


conduct observation on how specific community develops from the past years until
the present time by interviewing proper authorities of LGU.

● Performance sample assessment tool

 An example of performance sample assessment is that individuals presented


their whole record by making portfolio where the teachers identified the development
of individual. All records were compiling throughout the years and evaluate the
student progress or they need to develop the specific field where the student’s
performance is low.

● Actual performance assessment tool

 An example of actual performance assessment is that teachers ask


his/ her students about the topic discussed by the reporter randomly and how
the students interpret the topic about.

Think of these …

►Is it important to use all these assessment tools in one particular session?

Yes, to ensure that all students listening to what the topic is all about and how they
interpret the topic by measuring their ability on understanding and communication
with the teachers and student; students to students. This is to ensure that all
students will be able to participate and performance the task given by the teacher.

asked.

I choose b (performance) because it measure how the students perform or present


their output.
