2. At the beginning of the text the author describes positive and negative sides of globalization.
3.According to the text globalization has seen a massive in a global wealth. But at the same time
there has been a widening in the gap between a wealthy elite of the countries and a mass of poor
countries.
4. After the author goes on to say that the richer countries have been growing faster than poorer
countries for the last 150 years. And gives the short summery about supporters of trade
liberalization and integration would claim it is not too much trade liberalization which is causing
global inequalities to widen, but too little.
5.At the end of the article the author comes to the conclusion that infant industries in a country
are no longer protected from competition and multinationals can quickly succeed.
6.I find the article important because globalization is one of the acute problem of our time. I`m a
small town girl and I see how people leave small towns, villages and even country day after day in
search of a better life. This has a great impact on the economy, welfare and living standards in
general.

Антиглобалисты вышли на тропу войны. Их аргумент заключается в том, что глобальная
интеграция, поощряемая Севером (иногда называемый неолиберальной организацией)
вредит интересам бедных людей и бедных стран. Такие организации как Мировой Банк,
Мировой Валютный Фонд (МВФ) и Всемирная Торговая Организация (ВТО) не согласны.
Две противоположные точки зрения отображены в этих цитатах:

Задача состоит в том, чтобы понять сложные и меняющие связи между международной
экономической интеграцией, нищетой и неравенством. Есть ли причинно следственная
связь между нищетой и глобализацией?
В настоящее время антиглобалисты находятся на волне. Однако стоит спросить, являются
ли они больше представителями желаний бедных стран и людей нежели чем таких
организаций как ВТО,МВФ и Всемирный Банк что они зачастую критикуют. Так как они
более скрытны, менее подотчетны и менее демократичны.
