DEFINATION OF:

 ATOM
An atom is the smallest constituent unit of ordinary matter that constitutes a
chemical element. Every solid, liquid, gas, and plasma is composed of neutral
or ionized atoms. Atoms are extremely small; typical sizes are around 100
picometers.
Components: Electrons and a compact nucleus of protons and neutrons
Mass range: 1.67×10−27 to 4.52×10−25 kg
Electric charge: zero (neutral), or ion charge
Diameter range: 62 pm (He) to 520 pm (Cs) (data page)

 MOLECULE
A molecule is an electrically neutral group of two or more atoms held together
by chemical bonds. Molecules are distinguished from ions by their lack of
electrical charge.

 ELEMENT
A chemical element is a species of atom having the same number of protons in
its atomic nuclei. For example, the atomic number of oxygen is 8, so the
element oxygen describes all atoms which have 8 protons. In total, 118
elements have been identified.

 COMPOUND
A chemical compound is a chemical substance composed of many identical
molecules composed of atoms from more than one element held together by
chemical bonds. Two atoms of the same element bonded in a molecule do not
form a chemical compound, since this would require two different elements.

 MIXTURE
In chemistry, a mixture is a material made up of two or more different
substances which are physically combined. A mixture is the physical
combination of two or more substances in which the identities are retained and
are mixed in the form of solutions, suspensions and colloids.
SUB-ATOMIC PARTICLES
subatomic particles are smaller than atoms. They can be composite particles,
such as the neutron and proton; or elementary particles, which according to the
standard model are not made of other particles. Particle physics and nuclear
physics study these particles and how they interact.

PERIODIC TABLE~
The periodic table, also known as the periodic table of elements, is a tabular
display of the chemical elements, which are arranged by atomic number,
electron configuration, and recurring chemical properties. The structure of
the table shows periodic trends.
SCIENTIST THAT DEVELOPED PTE?

Dimitri Mendeleev
In 1869 Russian chemist Dimitri Mendeleev started the development of the periodic
table, arranging chemical elements by atomic mass. He predicted the discovery of
other elements, and left spaces open in his periodic table for them. In 1886 French
physicist Antoine Bequerel first discovered radioactivity.

HOW PTE BEING DEVELOPED?

In 1869 Russian chemist Dimitri Mendeleev started the development of the periodic
table, arranging chemical elements by atomic mass. He predicted the discovery of
other elements, and left spaces open in his periodic table for them. ... Thomson
first discovered electrons; small negatively charged particles in an atom.
