Write about the following topic:

Our ideas about law are shaped through the images we have seen and encounters we have. These affect
our expectations of law as an area of study, practice and its role in society. How far do you agree?

Support your answer with specific reasons and examples. Write between 350-400 words.

In my opinion, the idea of law is shaped through the images we have seen and encounter in
every day, when we get down from bed and follow certain rules. I think that affect our
expectations of law as subject of study, practice and the role that has in our society. Also have an
impact on our reaction to legal interventions and legal cases. Law, in this case, tends to be
something we encounter when something has gone awry and we search a way to solve a
problem. Some people confuse “law” with “Justice”, but the last one is a virtue, that establish
rational order for the most of the people in the world, but in certain cases, ”law” is just a word on
a piece of paper for some individuals, who are not capable to understand that “law” it’s for
people and “justice” it’s for vigilantes from comics books . “Law” it has been variously
described as a science and the art of justice without violence and the ideea of keeping an order
thru our society, where a person who committed a crime can be punish in a way less violent and
with the hope that the person will be rehabilitate.
In the day by day life, we can see how the idea of “law” it’s respected, or not, by single one of
us, thru little, but significant, things that we do, such as the simple example of throwing a little
piece of paper on the dumpster, instead of leaving it on the roadside, or in these days that for
mutual respect for each other health, we must wear a mask in places that we meet, shop or work.
But in many ways, a lot of people doesn’t think that the “law” is for every one of us, and brake
the rules for their own benefit or just for fun, how “some” of people could say these days.
I think that every one of us should read and try to understand the “law” and the basic mains of
it, because it is true, it’s a lot to process, so many articles, so many “law’s” appear from ashes by
night, in the benefit of some and lose of others, but in the end “law” it’s what that differences us
from the primates and forces us to evolve and to find the best ways to cohabit without wars,
racism and discrimination.
