Advertisement photography
involves taking pictures
of products. These kinds of ads
are usually found in newspapers
and magazines, and may also
be found online on certain
websites or before videos.
Fashion Photography
Fashion photography is a type of
photography exclusively focusing on
clothes and fashion trends.

In this photo I believe the photographer

is trying to represent relatability, as they
put the model on a normal everyday
street to suggest to the person looking at
it that this is a look for everyone.

/Documentary

Documentary photography is a type of

photography that tells a story usually
about struggles in society or in personal
life's.

In this photo I think the photographer is

trying to represent the scale difference
of the protester and the police by
having the shot centered in the middle
of the two and not focusing on a
particular one.

Portrait photography is a type of

photography where a photographer
aims to capture a person's feelings or
emotion through their face, portrait
photography consists of a person's face
and a light source which is easy to
create, making these types of photos
extremely popular.
In this photo I think the most obvious
thing the photographer is trying to
represent is happiness as the man in the
photo is smiling.

photography that is unplanned
and often contains random
encounters with strangers in public
places.
I believe in this photo the
photographer is trying to
represent the business of everyday
people by having their movements
blur and be out of focus in contrast
to the in focus background.

Studio Photography is
photography done in an indoor
studio where the photographer
has full control over all aspects,
studio photography is usually
used for advertisements as its
easier to make products look
better in a studio.
Architectural
Photography

Architectural Photography is the

potographing of buildings and
similar structures, the
photographers goal is to make the
buildings look appealing and as
impressive as possible.
I think the photographer is trying
to represent the grandeur of this
building by getting a shot from the
ground and looking up at it, this
effect makes the building look
larger than it actually is.

Medical Photographys main

porpuse is to document madical
practises for future use in either
reviewing something like a
surgery or showing the footage
to medical students.

Photography

Photo illustration is a term which refers

to the idea of an photographer taking a
photograph and adding an illustration
to it to make it represent something
different. This type of photography is
usually found in marketing and cover
art.
In this photo I believe the artist is trying
to represent how art makes him who he
is as he added an illustration onto his
photo to make him look as if he is
drawing himself.

Photography

Fine art photography doesn’t

necessarily have a single definition
as it an outlet for creative
expression for a photographer, the
purpose of this type of
photography is to express a
photographers emotion and ideas.
I believe this photo is trying to
represent peace of some kind as
the photographer is using warm
colours and a still background.
Lifestyle
Photography

Lifestyle Photography is a type of

photography that aims to capture
portraits of people in real life
events. These photos are staged
but are made to look like a more
artistic version of everyday life.
In this photo I think the
photographer is trying to advertise
coke as they framed the couple to
looking happy while enjoying the
drink.
Event photography

Event photography is when a

photographer is hired to
document guests and incidents at
events and is usually hired to make
the event look good, the most
common place to find these
photographers is at weddings and
parties.
In this photo the photographer
captured what looks to be a bride
and groom on their wedding day
looking like they're having a good
time.
Sports Photography

Sports photography is a common type

of photography that takes place at most
large scale sporting events. It is advised
that at these events a photographer
uses fast shutter speeds to capture the
action as it usually moving at a fast
pace.
In this photo I believe the photographer
purposefully used a slower shutter
speed than normal to add a blur effect
to the runners legs to make them look
like they're running faster than normal.
