Phase I

Activity:

The students will bring out their drawing and coloring materials. The teacher will
request the pupils to draw the representations of the Holy Spirit that they see in the
Church.

Phase II

What is the representation of the Holy Spirit

did you draw that you found on your church? - Dove, teacher.

Where did you find those representations? - In the windows or walls of the
church, teacher.

Why is the Holy Spirit important for us humans? - It gives us wisdom and
guidance and knowledge to
discern well, teacher.

The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Holy Trinity. If we pray to the Holy Spirit, we
believe in the mystery of the holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The
Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is
adored and glorified.

There are many symbols of the Holy Spirit. Through those symbols, God reaches us to
become closer to Him. As human beings, we need to respect our bodies because it is
dwelling place of the Holy Spirit in us. We need to wear decent clothing wherever we
may be. We must be clean spiritually at all times to give respect to the home of the Holy
Spirit so that we can feel God’s unending love.

We profess our faith to the God as St. Paul said to the people of Corinth, “you are the
temple of God…you are the temple of the Holy Spirit.”

When will we pray to the Holy Spirit?

-We must pray everyday to the Holy Spirit in
order for us to have guidance, wisdom, and
knowledge to do things correctly and to follow
wholeheartedly the will of God for us.

Starting now, that you have know the Holy Spirit

what will you do?
-We will pray to the Holy Spirit for us to be guided in
our day to day lives as followers of Jesus.

Now let us all pray the PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT as we invoke his guidance in
our day to day living.

COME HOLY SPIRIT

FILL THE HEARTS OF YOUR FAITHFUL
AND ENKINDLE IN THEM THE FIRE OF YOUR LOVE
SEND US FORTH YOUR SPIRIT
AND THEY SHALL BE CREATED
AND THEY SHALL RENEW THE FACE OF THE EARTH

O GOD, WHO BY THE LIGHT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
