ED06 FACILITATING LEARNER – CENTERED TEACHING

A. Course Description

The course emphasizes on facilitating and managing student – centred learning. It focus on the different approaches
to student – centred learning. The three approaches are: group learning, individualized learning and individual
learning.

The exploration and discussion of these approaches will focus on how these apply to the classroom. More
importantly, the understanding of different approaches to student – centred learning will emphasize how teacher may
use the various ideas to better facilitate the learning processes among students.

B. Course objectives

 Understand the different student – centred approaches,


 Implement student – centred approaches in your classroom,
 Facilitate and enhance student – centred learning,
 Manage student – centred learning activities.

F. Classroom Policies

- Maximum of six (6) allowable absences only


- Three (3) lates equivalent to one (1) absence
- Proper Decorum must strictly follow during online class.
