Week 2 This week was spent researching target audiences

Week 3 This week was spent researching codes and


conventions
What genres have you chosen I have chosen to make a drama for my short film
and why? because it is known to be popular with the age group
of 40–60-year-olds, by choosing a genre that is
popular within the age group it is more enjoyable for
the viewers. This also gives me an opportunity to
experiment with filming more within the genre and
improving my story telling and technical skills. My
music video is mainly planned of my target audience
research hence why there is no genre based for the
music video. However, the theme I’m going for is a
classical old feel.

looked into the different aspects that make a movie
such as sound, set design and lighting. I have also
looked at Todorov’s theory and the different
characters and their roles within movies.
