Thank you for your application. Before your face to face interview, you are required to plan and submit a lesson plan.

Guidelines:

 You have to write a lesson plan draft for a 90’ lesson.


 The soft copies of pages 60&63 of Pearson’s Gold Experience A2 are provided below.
 You have to prepare a PowerPoint Presentation for the 90’ lesson
 Please take the following points into consideration:
 Please fill in the highlighted sections (sub-aims, anticipated problems and solutions).
 For the procedure, please provide us with a brief description of each task and how you will set them up.
 Additionally, in your PowerPoint Presentation you are allowed to use videos (level appropriate & topic related from YouTube or other sources), reading texts (topic related
and level appropriate) and images or any other material/visual aids that would benefit the students in their learning process
 Keep in mind that providing students with the proper scaffolding & differentiation is very important to Vinschool
 We aim to provide students with a variety of tasks that result in plenty of opportunities for lower level, average level and higher level students within the same class to
engage as often as possible.
 Pearson’s Gold Experience A2 or Stage Foundation 2 as we call it, aims to prepare the students for the Cambridge KET exams.
 At Vinschool, we seek to empower students to lead and therefore, we aim to create as many opportunities for students to speak up in the class and have peer-to-peer
interaction instead of just listening to the teacher speak the majority of the time
 In the ESL Department, we aim to provide teachers with the freedom to create content that is in line with the Vinschool vision, mission and values and achieves the desired
learning outcomes within the official Cambridge Curriculum

Class profile:
 30 students between the age of 11 and 14.
 Mixed level abilities: 15 students at A2+ level and 15 at A2
Energetic class
Materials available:
 All students have their student books. Pages from Pearson’s Gold Experience A2 covered in the lesson: pages 60 & 63
 Notebooks
 Laptop and projector.
 Blackboard and coloured chalk
 A4 paper

Classroom Layout:
30 individual desks and chairs arranged in six bus rows
Main learning outcome:
By the end of the lesson students will be able to read and understand the text or listen and understand the text (reading/listening)
Secondary learning outcomes:
Students will expand their general knowledge on the topic and be able to talk about it to each other (speaking)
Sub-aims:
 All students will be able to pronounce, actively use and apply the vocabulary in context (related to the topic, Entertainment)
 All students will be accommodated in the lesson, as the teacher will strive to eliminate barriers to learning and create an environment where all students are
included regardless of their respective starting points (general knowledge of the topic and varying English abilities)
 All students will be able to make a real-world connection between themselves, their previous experiences and the subject at hand.
 All students will be given an opportunity to share their ideas with their peers and the teacher.
