1. Applications are invited for the following posts in the Pension Fund Regulatory and
Development Authority (PFRDA), Delhi, as detailed below:

Note: 1. The number of positions is approximate and may change at the time of recruitment.
2. Government of India policy regarding reservation for SC/ST and OBC would apply.
3. In addition to the salary, benefits of NPS, gratuity, LTC, reimbursement of conveyance and
medical expenses etc. would be admissible as per PFRDA’s policy from time to time.
2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
The applicants should have one or more of the following qualifications:
• First Class Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics/Commerce/Business
Administration or Master Degree in Economics/ commerce/MBA in corporate finance
or financial management with 55% marks in the aggregate.
• CA/CFA/CS/CWA.
• First class Bachelor’s degree in Law or Master’s Degree in Law with 55% marks in the
aggregate.
• Ph. D in Economics/ Finance.
• First class graduate in engineering (electronics or computer science)/ Master’s in
computers application. First class graduate in computer science/ science/ commerce/
operations research with post graduate qualification in computers.
Note: PFRDA may assign additional weightage to higher academic and professional
qualifications at its discretion.
3. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Post qualification experience as specified in section 1 above in pension/ financial sector, special
knowledge/ experience in law, investigation, finance, economics, accountancy, administration
or any other discipline considered useful to the PFRDA.
4. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
(i) All educational qualifications should have been obtained from recognized universities/
institutions in India or abroad. If grades are awarded instead of marks, candidates should clearly
indicate the numerical equivalent. The PFRDA reserves the right to vary the number of posts in
each category depending on the need and also may modify the qualifications prescribed for the
posts.
(ii) Persons serving in State/Central Governments and Public Sector Undertakings should
apply through proper channel. However, they can forward an advance copy to the PFRDA. They
will have to resign their post, in order to join PFRDA, if selected.
5. MODE OF SELECTION:
a. A screening committee constituted by the PFRDA will examine the applications and
shortlist the candidates for interview. Final selection will be after the assessment of the
suitability of the shortlisted candidates in the interview.
b. The interview will be held at Delhi. Candidates will be reimbursed the travelling cost as
admissible.
c. Merely fulfilling the eligibility conditions as regards age / qualifications / experience,
after short‐listing of candidates, would not automatically entitle any candidate to be
called for the interview. PFRDA reserves the right to relax any of the criteria/conditions
in deserving cases.
d. The selected candidates may be posted in the office of the Authority located in Delhi or
at any other place where the PFRDA may establish its offices.
e. The PFRDA reserves the right to modify the selection procedure, if deemed fit.
6. TRAINING AND PROBATION:
a. Probation: The selected candidates will be appointed on probation initially for a period of
one year. Upon successful completion of the probation, the candidates will be considered
for regular appointment in their respective Grades. The probation period may, at the
discretion of the PFRDA, be extended up to a maximum period of one year. Failure to
complete the probation period successfully may entail termination of the services of the
officer.
b. If at any later stage, it is found that the information furnished in the application is false /
incorrect or if according to the PFRDA, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility
criteria, his/her candidature/appointment will be cancelled/terminated at any stage,
without notice or compensation.
7. HOW TO APPLY:
Typed copy of the bio‐data in the prescribed application form, which can be downloaded from
the PFRDA website: www.pfrda.org.in, duly signed, with photograph, attested copies of
certificates, testimonials and a demand draft for Rs.500/‐ (non‐refundable) in favour of
“Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority” payable at Delhi should reach the
PFRDA by 31st January, 2011. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories are exempt from
the application fee.
Applications complete in all respects in a closed envelope and superscribed “APPLICATION FOR
THE POST OF______________” must be sent to the following address:

8. LAST DATE
Last date for receipt of filled‐in Applications is 31st January, 2011
9. CHECK‐LIST FOR SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION FORM:
a) Candidates who satisfy the eligibility norms must apply in the prescribed application form.
b) The Application Form must be in a printed form (A4 Sheet) as per the attached format.
c) Candidates should ensure that all the entries in the application form have been correctly
filled and the photograph is signed.
d) Enclosures: Proof of age, Caste Certificate, qualifications, marks list etc. duly attested by a
gazetted officer must be attached with the application form.
e) The post applied for, should be indicated on the cover containing the application.
f) Applications not in the prescribed Form or received after 31st January, 2011 will not be
entertained.
The PFRDA takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt of applications or loss thereof in
postal transit.
