What is community?

Community is a group of people who agree to share

resources and participate in reaching common goal. It is also
defined as a term for groups of people somewhat close area,
and usually under common rule.

What are some rules that you and other citizens have to
follow?

There are many rules in my community and the most basic

and universally followed are ; don’t litter anywhere and always
clean your surroundings, citizens must respect others privacy
and the most important is- citizens must treat others as equal
and avoid discrimination.

How can you be a good citizen?

For me, being a good citizen is not measured on how big you
can give in the community. A good citizen is first and foremost,
a respectful person who knows the importance of rules and
laws in the community and follows it without complaining.
Furthermore for me to be a good citizen I must cooperate in
activities that aims to set out community’s development and
engage my passion and idea for the betterment of the whole.

Name some responsibilities that you have.

My responsibilities extends from our house to our

community. From basic- doing the dishes, cleaning the house,
doing the laundry and making coffee for my mom. And my
responsibility as a blessed child, to always follow the standard,
strengthening my faith,and preserving our tradition. Also, as
part of W-CARP, my responsibility is to share knowledge and
educate youth like me about the principle.

What is the differences about needs and wants?

Name some examples?

Needs are the things that people must have in order to live.
While wants are the things people would like to have but do
not need in order to live.
Examples of needs are foods, clothes, shelter and love. The
basic needs in order to survive.
While the examples of wants are jewelries, BMW car and
make ups.

What are the rules and responsibilities as citizens in our

community?

Rules starts from the most basic until it became a law in its
more complex form. The rules in our community serves as a
guide in order to prevent us from committing heavier mistakes.
This often addressed as norms or common knowledge for
everyone.
Here are few examples:
1. Raise your hand if you wish to speak or ask a question. This
applies in our school.
2. We must clean our surroundings and don’t litter.

3. Prioritize the seat of senior citizens, PWD and pregnant in

public transportation
4. Always walk on the pedestrian lane when crossing the
road.
5. Be thoughtful and respectful to our elders.
 For the responsibilities of citizens in our community.
Here are some list I made based from my observation.

It is the responsibility of citizens to:

Participate and cooperate- We believe deeply in the

motivation and inspiration we receive from others. And in
order for a community to be better, people must have mutual
understanding.

Exercise suffrage- As a youth, I saw the importance of

mindful voting today. In order for a community to improve,
citizens have the power to chose a leader. And I believe
that is not just a right of a citizen, but it is also a
responsibility.

Voice opinion and beliefs- Growing up, I realized that in order

to be heard, one must make a noise. Same goes with our
community, in order for it to prosper, it has to take critics into
careful analyzation and actions.
