Syed Ibne Taus reports through a chain of narrators that once Imam Razaasws
told some of his companions: ‘Who recites this supplication in thanksgiving-
prostration, gets substantial rewards equivalent to as if he were fighting for the
cause of Islam, under the command of Prophetsaww in the battle of Badr’. We
asked Imamasws if we could learn the ‘supplication’ and write it down? Imamasws
gave us the permission and we wrote it.

Imamasws said: In the thanksgiving prostration, Say : Oh Allahazwj! Curse those:

Who changed Yourazwj religion, altered Yourazwj Commands, and accused your
Messengersaww (of injustice). They disagreed with Yourazwj revelations, and
prevented others from following Yourazwj religion, and they denied Yourazwj
bounties, and disregarded Yourazwj Words, and they mocked Yourazwj
Messengersaww, and killed Your Prophet’s son(s)asws. They perverted Yourazwj
Book. They denied Yourazwj signs. They ridicule what Youazwj descended. They
reacted arrogantly when Youazwj asked them for submission (Wilayat). They
killed your Walis2. They administer a council, to which, they were neither worthy
of attending it, nor had the right of holding it. They succeeded in putting heavy
loads on the shoulders of Familyasws of Your Prophet, Mohammedsaww.

Oh Allahazwj! Curse them, a cursing which Youazwj recite Yourselfazwj, which
does not spare any one of them, and distain them and their followers in hell,
which squeezes them from all directions, and boil them.

Oh Allahazwj! I intend to become closer to Youazwj through (intercession of)

asking for Yourazwj Wrath onto them. Let my declaration of ‘Tabbrah’3 never
give any respite to them, in this world as well as in the hereafter.

Oh Allahazwj! Curse the assassinators of Amir-ul-Momaneenasws, and those who

martyred Al-Hussein Bin Aliasws, the son of Your Prophet’s daughter.

Oh Allahazwj! Subject them to tortures one after another, and impeach them with
disgrace over and over. Make them face humiliation over humiliation and
punishment over punishment.

Oh Allahazwj! Leave them in the fire forever: And engulf them into the most
painful torment by immersing them into filth. Oh Allahazwj! Make the enraging
hell-fire theirs’ and their followers’ adobe.

Oh Allahazwj! Scatter what they have compiled; leave them in disarray and let it
act against what they utter; and destroy their allies; and curse their imams. And
kill their leaders, their peers and their seniors, and curse their caliphs; and
disgrace their flag, and turn their companionship into distress, annihilate their
influence, curse their father(s), an ignorant one and also the Al-Walid, let the
recitation of curse be fall on all of them so that it keeps on tracking and
targeting them.

Oh Allahazwj curse them, and let join with Youazwj (in cursing) the angels of
proximity, the elevated4 Prophetsas and the staunch believers (whose hearts
have been tested with faith) so that it brings upon them Yourazwj ultimate wrath,
so intense and harsh that the people of hell start pleading for mercy.

Oh Allahazwj! Curse them, such a cursing that is beyond anyone’s imagination,

Oh Allahazwj! Curse them secretly, as well as publically and openly. And tortured
them so severely that its strength reaches infinity. Include in their persecute,
their daughters, their companions, their admirers, and all those who followed
them! You hear and respond to all supplications, (Send Your blessing on
Mohamedsaww and Alay Mohammedasws).
