ABAG DUKHA is a movement to further the cause for the LEAST of our brothers and sisters, those

persons who are vulnerable, those who are socially, psychologically or economically disadvantaged.

The Philippine Development Plan has identified EDUCATION as an essential pillar for HUMAN
DEVELOPMENT. Education is essential for inclusive growth: with more education, those at the lower
end of income distribution are provided a pathway to move out of poverty.

BUT studies show that DILI GANAHAN MU ESKWELA ang bata bisag libre na ang elementary ug high
school tungod sa (a) kakulangan sa resources, ECONOMIC issue. To go to school and study is a
burden to the child and to his or her family,. Another reason is (b) the lack of encouragement and
push, a MOTIVATION issue.

Studies further show that DILI NA GANAHAN MU PADAYON UG TIWAS ang bata kung NAKA LAT-
ANG na sa pag eskwela. Children who have skipped a year or more levels most likely would not
complete his or her studies and therefore, it is hard for the kids to move out of poverty.

ABAG DUKHA desires to make a difference by strongly addressing these root causes.

Through the SCHOOL SUPPLIES DISTRIBUTION program of the movement, ABAG DUKHA spreads
the message that being poor is never a hindrance to success, motivating the very poor kids to go on
and striking the children and their parents to their core and tell them that A LOT OF US CARE and that
education should be the NUMBER ONE PRIORITY for children labi na sa mga disadvantaged families.

Today, March 30, 2018, ABAG DUKHA starts the campaign for the school supplies distribution
program for the poorest kids. The target this school opening are:

(a) 500 poor primary school kids in the most populous barangay, LABANGON;

(b) 500 poor kids in the primary and secondary schools in far flung areas of Cebu.

Each pack will contain notebooks, pens, pencils, paper etc worth P100 per beneficiary. For 1000 kids-
beneficiary, the total funding should be P100,000. Last year 2017, 520 chosen very poor kids from
barangays Sawang Calero, San Nicolas were the beneficiaries.
We appeal to all of you to join ABAG DUKHA in this most worthy cause.
