QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM


• QMS – Quality Management System is one of standard about quality that
recognize as international standard.
The purpose is to create ownership and a more stable and sustainable quality
system at the factory.
A well working management system gives the tools to work in an effective way to
increase performance and reach goals.
Quality management system includes the whole from policy/ strategy to
implementation among the employees and working for improvement to reach the
goals.

WHEN?
We work together with all department on their QMS with audits and follow-ups.

TEAMWORK
The MS auditor need to collect feedback from the whole team/department about
strong and weak points of a department to have the right focus in the auditor.

Section 1:
Raw Material Activities
FABRIC INSPECTION AND FABRIC APPROVAL PROCEDURE
I. PURPOSE
To ensure the quality of fabric is meet on the requirements/standard.

This is first inspection should be checked with detail from 10%, 20%, 50% or 100% if needed based on
condition. Inspection earlier including fabric and trims. Created report for record. if found problem,
lets communicate with connecting department such as Marketing, QC & Buyer.

II. SCOPE
Inspection scope is checking for any defects, hand feel, color, width, bowing/skewing,
design and face side of the fabric and testing report from fabric supplier if any. This inspection valid for
fabric and trims.

III. WHEN AND WHERE


This procedure carried out when the factory received the fabric from the supplier and
conduct by Fabric QA and inspection for trims by QC trims. Call out in very earlier stage to connecting
department for better solution in beginning instead of OK to continue or repair.

IV. PROCEDURE
1. Fabric must be inspected 10% of total fabric roll received at the first time.
2. Fabric inspection on appreciate inspection frame / machine & using 4 point system.
 1 Point : Faults with length less than 7.62 cm (warp or weft)
 2 Points : Faults with length between 7.62-15.24 cm (warp or weft)
 3 Point : Faults with length between 15.24-22.86 cm (warp or weft)
 4 Point : Faults with length between 22.86-91.44cm (warp or weft)
All holes must be counted as 4 points
Standard limit
PT. Morich Indo Fashion standard limit for the 4 points system are :
 20 points/100yard2 per roll
 Average 15 points/batch

3. Repeated fabrics: 10% Checked if fails 30% checked, if still fails 100% inspection
carried out.
4. Fabric relaxed 2 x 24 hours after inspection fabric (with fabric contain ≥5%
spandex, Lycra, jersey or all fabric with content elastic) in Fabric Warehouse. If
fabric contain ≤ 5% spandex, Lycra, jersey fabric must relax 1 x 24 hours. The result
records with document list.
5. Inspection findings are properly recorded and reviewed on a timely basis by
supervisor. The result being inputted and kept to the data base.

6. Light box used for color continuity. Color should be assessed first with TL84 (store
light) and then with D65 (daylight), then checked in Tungsten filament for
