4 Operation Check and Adjustment
The tube current of X-ray high voltage generator cabinet is not adjusted at the
factory. Adjust the tube current during installation.
The X-ray high voltage generator cabinet power unit contains electrolytic
capacitors that retain their charge after turning ON electricity.
Before checking the X-ray high voltage generator cabinet after turning ON
electricity, make sure the charging voltage of the main capacitor is completely
discharged after the power-OFF,.
The time required for the voltage of the main capacitor dropping to 5V or less
after the power-OFF, is shown below.
- EZy-Rad Pro [A/S/M Pack] : about 40 seconds
- EZy-Rad Pro [AH/SH/MH Pack] : about 2 minutes
(without 200 mAs option)
- EZy-Rad Pro [AH/SH/MH Pack] : about 3 minutes
(with 200 mAs option)
Never apply a high voltage in the state without the high voltage cable
connection to X-ray tube assembly.
Otherwise, it may cause a unit breakage and a serious accident.
Make sure the unit power is turned OFF when performing a check of the X-ray
high voltage generator cabinet, or connecting or disconnecting the high voltage
cable.

4.6 Adjustment and Check of Tube Current
When using X-ray tube assembly for the first time after installing it, or when
using X-ray tube assembly again after not using it for more than one month,
perform its aging after doing the tube current two point adjustment and before
doing the current each point adjustments.
Refer to Section "4.7 X-ray Tube Aging ".
When using X-ray tube assembly foe the first time after installing it, or when
using X-ray tube assembly again after not using it for more than month, perform
its aging.
Refer to the Operating Manual of the using X-ray tube assembly.
A common example of the aging is as follows.
Increase the X-ray tube voltage by 10kV from 60kV to 125kV, and apply the following load
twice every 40 seconds for each voltage.

(5) Setting the resistors for adjusting gains
Turn variable resistors, VR11 to VR22 counterclockwise to the full.
(6) Adjusting offset circuit
The adjustment should be done without connecting detector cord.
① Short circuit CP32, CP33 [CHECK] on PH CONT-2001 PCB.
② Select field 1.
③ Perform ready operation for 2 seconds, and adjust VR7 so that the voltage
at CP3 comes within ± 0.02 V.
Similarly, select Field 2, 3, and 4, and perform the same adjustment as above
respectively. The CP to be monitored and VR to be adjusted are shown in the table
below.

EZy-Rad Pro verifies the transmitted data and returned data, and if they match, the
circuit becomes established. If not, however, EZy—Rad Pro repeats transmitting the
circuit test request. The digital radiography unit sends a command 80 (ENQ) within

1.1 Precautions
M1-1
M501-E410
MAINTENANCE
1 Adjustment of X-ray High-voltage Generator
The power source must be turned OFF before maintenance or connection of the
high-voltage generator, or connection or disconnection of high-voltage cables.
Calibrate the probe frequency characteristics and voltage range of the oscilloscope
before adjustments.
Do NOT connect the GND terminal in the power plug on the oscilloscope.
Do NOT perform measurement simultaneously with different reference potential
between CH1 and CH2.
Otherwise, the oscilloscope might be damaged and be broken down, and the unit
might be damaged by the breakdown, ignition, or others.
Make sure that the power source is OFF when inserting or removing a PCB and
connecting or disconnecting a connector.
Follow the instructions in “3 Installation and Connection” to make sure all the cables
are properly connected.
M1-2
M501-E410
MAINTENANCE
1.1 Precautions
In the first use of X-ray tube assembly after installation, or the first use of that in one
month or more, perform the aging on the X-ray tube assembly after two-point
adjustment of tube current and each point adjustment.
For details of aging, see “4.7 X-ray Tube Aging”.
The ripple voltage on the tube voltage waveform depends on the condition of the
power supply. And also it depends on the type of the using oscilloscope.

MAINTENANCE
1 Adjustment of X-ray High-voltage Generator
Disconnect the following connector or fuse from the X-Ray high voltage generator
cabinet to avoid charging the main electrolytic capacitors.
EZy-Rad Pro [A/S/M Pack] : Connector JLD on INPUT PC-15 PCB.
EZy-Rad Pro [AH/SH/MH Pack] : Fuse F4 on INPUT PCH-15 PCB.

MAINTENANCE
1 Adjustment of X-ray High-voltage Generator
Before turning on the power supply, make sure the connector JLD on INPUT PC-15
PCB is disconnected.
(5) Turn on the power, and measure the voltage between CP3 VPA and CP4 VPB on
INPUT PC-15 PCB to calculate them as follow:
VP1 = 0.246 x (VPA - VPB)
(6) Adjust VR1 VPADJ on INPUT PC-15 PCB so that the voltage between CP20 VP1
and CP19 GND on X CONT-2007 PCB becomes the calculated value in (5).
(7) Turn off the power.
(8) Remove each short circuit in (3) and (4).
(9) Connect the connector JI6 and JLD on INPUT PC-15 PCB.
(10) Turn on the power.
(11) Make sure the voltage between CP20 VP1 and CP19 GND on X CONT-2007 PCB
is one-hundredth of that between CP1 VC and CP2 VC0 on INPUT PC-15 PCB.
Example :
When the voltage between VC and VC0 is 300V, that between VP1 and GND is
3.00V. (±2 percent of tolerance)
If the voltage adjustment is necessary, adjust VR1 VPADJ on INPUT PC-15 PCB.

Cleaning and disinfections work should work, after turning off equipment power.
If equipment is turned on the power, there is a possibility of causing an electric
shock and a short circuit.
Do not splash antiseptic on the equipment. Do not spray of the antiseptic on the
equipment directly.
If an antiseptic goes into the inside of equipment, it will become failure and the
cause of the accident.

4.1 Cleaning and Disinfections
(3) After a cleaning and disinfections work end, should be checked the following item,
before switching on a power supply of equipment.
・ Neither water nor the antiseptic has adhered to equipment.
・ The tool used for cleaning and disinfections work is tidied up.
When you switch on a power supply after cleaning and disinfections work, do fully
ventilate the inside of a cleaning and disinfections working space.
If inflammable gas remains cleaning and disinfections working space, when a
power supply is switched on, there is danger of ignition, emitting smoke,
explosion, and an electric shock.

In the medical institution where the various microbes that affect a human body
exist, a certain incubation period may be set by infection, and it may suffer from
the “infection” which appears and is attacked with condition.
In connection with carrying out of the product in the case of recession from a
medical institution, a tool, etc., there is the possibility of secondary infection out
of a medical institution.
In order to prevent this, disinfections and positive implementation of sterilization
are important with a prevention measure and healthy management.
